mine is a 301A singer..they used to use them in all the school home ec depts..they are a fairly lightweight machine ( probably that s why they are called that?!) but they will sew ANYTHING! i adore mine! it was $125 when i bought it...havent seen one that cheap since! i agree with Duli ,,singer is it! deb
I'm a six...chocolate!! we had the most divine chocolate cake at the buggaboo steak house last weekend..andits still on my mind! and i do appear to have a cold exterior i guess..but i do love to laugh! deb
Bobbie Id kill to get my hands on a featherweight! i sew with a singer lightweight..its a slightly older model with an odd angled needle design..it will sew ANYTHING! and i adore it! we looked at hundreds of machines when my first old $5.00 Zenith died...i couldnt get used to the new ones! came close to buying a really expensive one...then we saw an ad for someone here that sells and repairs singers..i was in love! and they always should let you try and sew your material! so you know all the parts work. the hand model you linked to is beautiful Richie but i agree that th ecrank would get tiring,,but if your power goes out youre still good to go! deb
now i liked the pilows so much we went shoping for some before we came home! that really is a lovely area to shop in. people i work with are in love with Conway..but we much prefer nashua and manchester area. will be glad when Vt finally gets a Target..but then i much prefer to GO somewhere to shop!! deb

funny you should say that ...my husband and i have been raving about the bed all weekend! most comfortable bed ive ever slept in! and HUGE! ( the bed) deb ps and the breakfast was wonderful!
It was a lovely well run show as usual! Daphne doesnt miss a trick! everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and i even survived my
stage fright about doing my demo! Stunning creations in the gallery and on the showroom floor! was wonderful that so many talented artists took the time to show us their techniques! Jackie and Kellley and Fred were all wonderful to watch! Sandi Rexford went hi tech on us with a slide show digital frame in her booth! Fun way to see her bear portfolio! and there was all that delicious mohair Peter brought! if you havent checked out one of Daphnes show you gotta go to Maine! deb

a woman from the UK has emailed me and asked for a raffle item to help buy her daughter ( severly handicaped ) a wheelchair lift.
she is a bit far from me and its not a good time for me financially to do this after my husbands surgery etc,,,but i am wondering if its legit?

i use Vintage Inspired Studios graphics and also Vintage resources ( free) and absolutelyfree web backgrounds..cottage arts has neat stuff
and anytime you type in free graphics into google you will get a list of sites that sell sets also because most offer some free goodie to entice you to their site! and as MJ said you can then resize or reconfigure any oneof them to what you want..absolutely free web graphics has neat tools that let you re color backgrounds! surfing can be ALOT of work..but if you want someting a little different its worth it! deb
ps and most sites have links to others like them! primitives also do bear sites ans they are definatley matched sets!
i agree with ellen! we spent over an hour picking out snickers! they are all soooo cute! but if i have to,,the one dead center facing left with his head on the others! deb
i spent every nickle i earned on books when i was a child and still do! nancy drew..trixie belden.the hardy boys..wasnt there another boy series? every horse book or silly witch stories i could get my hands on..i worked in the library when i was in high school...and when my sister came along..Dr seuss it was! i adore witches wizrds and dragons..anne macaffrey!! and i would read the back of the cereal box at breakfast if there wasnt anything else,, also like an assortment of book as ive gotten older,,and who wouldnt love james herriot? deb
KIm thats the very best time to do it! old houses burrow into your heart and set down ROOTS! i remember when i bought this place//it would have scared most people to death..i was so in love wih it i just kept coming here rain or snow and walking around daydreaming about what it would look like..it had been empty and tied up in probate for 2 yrs..in the meantime people who thought the old guy had money hidden away came in a just trashed the place,,it was awful. enjoy every minute of making it yours! deb
they go thru stages..at 3 mos they run and hide,,at 6 mos they stand and then run ..by 1 yr he will hold his ground! my shepard puppy did that. Otis is beatiful! i can relate to the dog training the husband. snickers has always treated mine like a sibling..and hes a sucker for him too!
we have THREE dog beds throughout the house for ONE dog! cant have him lying on the cold floor! buddy is pretty cute too! keep them pictures coming ladies! deb
this is interesting i was just wondering lately where you had gotten to! i can appreciate the house stuff,,we have done two and swear we will never do another..but then i see a beautiful old home and i think....maybe! altho my husbands health issnt really up to it now,,but we do love discovering the great old home underneath..its an illness sometimes!! your new place looks amazing and im quite jealous you have a pond! the one thing we've always lacked! we have a barn i havent had the heart to tear down,,but its beyond our means to salvage..hoping that the next owner will have the money and the energy we no longer have! glad to hear youre back weve missed your beautiful creations! deb
shes beautiful! play ball mommy! deb
