I looked in the Library here and didn't find a past discussion about this so:

What is your favorite place to get cool website graphics, backgrounds, those scrapbooky graphics, buttons, etc??

I spend a LOT of time looking at websites that have "country" and "primitive" crafts/decor.  Most of them have the type of graphics I like and they always have the source of the graphics the web designer used somewhere on the site.  Also, my very good friend Google always comes through for me when I need to research something . . . anything.  Maybe googling "scrapbook web graphics" or something like that would work.

Tried that... Google and I usually understand eachother quite well but for some reason "he" isn't giving me the answers I'm looking for. bear_tongue

I'm guessing.... after seeing the sites that Penny does and Melanie Jayne's and many others.... (don't mean to single you out ladies, your beautiful sites just come to mind!) that there are places out there to get entire sets of graphics..... yes, I should email them but thought I could tap into a larger resource here on TT and that the answers might be helpful to others too.

Try to google  "digital scrapbooking". You can find tons of free stuff and if you want a coordinated kit, there are thousands of kits available...Good Luck!

I have a few favorites but this one, http://www.grsites.com/textures/, is my all time favorite.  You can do everything from make your own backgrounds (they have tons online but you can change the colors, size of the flowers, etc., to make your own buttons for your website.  Tons of fun and lots of great things there.  And it's FREE!

Also, there are two software packages I adore.  One is the printshop PROPUBLISHER Deluxe (Version 22) and the other is Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe 4.0. Both fabulous with tons of "scrap booky" type graphics.

Right now, I'm redoing my website (yes, again?) in Joomla!  It's a totally free Open Source Code web design software.  There are also TONS of free templates available.  It's a learning curve I know but I'm honestly sick of Front Page (plus they discontinued it and I don't feel like buying the "all new" package).

i use Vintage Inspired Studios graphics and also Vintage resources ( free)  and absolutelyfree web backgrounds..cottage arts has neat stuff
and anytime you type in free graphics into google you will get a list of sites that sell sets also because most offer some free goodie to entice you to their site! and as MJ said you can then resize or reconfigure any oneof them to what you want..absolutely free web graphics has neat tools that let you re color backgrounds! surfing can be ALOT of work..but if you want someting a little different its worth it!  deb
ps and most sites have links to others like them! primitives also do bear sites ans they are definatley matched sets!

Thanks to those who provided direct links. There are tons of sites out there and I'd spend hours just surfing which then means a show doesn't get planned and bears don't get made. It's all very overwhelming. Good to hear of sites and programs you all actually use and find helpful!

I'm sure others will appreciate some direction toward specific sources also!

Lisa - good luck with that... I'm in the same boat.... I'm hoping later this year to have the time to learn a new design program.

I just bought some graphics from this site:    http://www.blushbutter.com/

She has some really cool graphics. You do have to pay for them, but then you can use them however you want.  I should say mostly how you want.  You have to read the fine print.  Some are not for commercial use.
