I have finished my swap bear for Linda today and willl be posting him tomorrow once I have taken his photos...along with his little friend

I haven't posted a new bear for a while as I have been busy with shop orders.Meet Lillie a pink and white panda made from sassy fabrics.I don't often make them this small but I am keen to try and perfect this size
Laurie
They look wonderful together Peter...Becky makes lovely traditional bears.I always have a soft spot for traditional bears...they are the most huggable of all bears.

I am trying to finish a shop order this week for 4 bears but I have already started my swap bear for Linda..He is coming along quite nicely and is made in a new colour that I haven't used before....I am pleased with him
Laurie
I am on my second head for my swap partner.Tried a new fabric for the first head and didn't really like it so in the bin it went lol....there was nothing wrong with it just my taste in fabric.
It can be frustrating as you put so much time and care into it and having to start again makes you feel that you are never going to get on with the rest of the bear!
Keep going you will get there
Laurie
Thank you Becky
The eyes have been shaded.

I have just finished this 16 inch panda that a customer has been patiently waiting for.
My bear making has been very slow at the moment and I so want to get on with my bears but with decorating etc etc and the lovely weather we have been having it is easy to get distracted and before you know it the day is over and I have done no sewing...that will have to change
Laurie
What a wonderful collection Becky...it is hard to choose a favourite
Laurie
Thank you Karon...I am really looking forward to my swap with Linda

You can count me in on the swap Karon.
I have done some great swaps in the past though as you know in the last teddy talk swap I sent my bear out and my partner never sent me my bear so I have been a bit hesitant in joining in again.Better luck this time though

I will be taking two big 16 inch bears to Hugglets with me...I am in the basement(hall 3 stand 100).The tipped bear is called Truffle and the other boy is called Farley. They are both made from luxury schulte mohair.I do love to make these bigger bears once in a while as they give me the opportunity to use some beautiful furs that I can't use on my minis.Hope you like them

I had a lovely day at the fair and enjoyed chatting to new customers and meeting up with beary friends old and new.Brighton turned out to be a great venue with lots of space and plenty of visitors. It was lovely to see all the bears in the awards and I am pleased to say that my bear Benjamin got a third place in category one for miniatures.Congratulations to all the other award winners.

Hi Aggie,
Just thought that I would like to help clear up this matter to put your mind at rest.
The way I see the rules for category 1-8 is that there are two choices
1...You must have been born in the uk (But you can trade from the UK or anywhere else around the world i.e France in your case). This would include you so you can enter the competition.
2...You have to be living and trading in the uk.
Correct me if I am wrong Wendy .I have tied myself in knots trying to explain myself
I am through to the final in the miniature category and understand that as they had so many entries this year they thought it fair to have two 1sts etc. They wouldn't have known beforehand that there would be so many entries this year so next year they will change the categories to miniatures dressed and undressed.Maybe the past few years there were not as many miniature entries to warrant the two categories.I have noticed myself this past year that many artists are making miniatures that used to make larger bears.

I have really enjoyed this swap and it has been a pleasure getting to know Shanna.Simon is such a sweet little bear and I just love his little bunny friend.
I made Barnaby the panda for Shanna and Barnaby is 5 inches high and is quite a solid and heavy bear.I am glad you like him Shanna
Laurie
Thank you to Dawn,Wendy and Chris for all their hard work
