I have been wanting to try four piece bodies for some time now as even though the two piece bodies are ok they never seem to be the shape that I want.Do you get more better shaped bodies with four pieces?Do you use any more material making four piece bodies and to get the right size do you measure from A to D and use the twice head length method to get correct body length as you would with  the two piece method-if I make any sense!
Thanks Laurie

I think everyone has made some sort of mistake like cutting out fur wrong etc but you always seem to do this when you are on a time limit or that was the only bit of fur you had for that bear!!I am glad the panic is over so hopefully problem solved.

Is there anyone out there like me who cannot control the amount of bears that they make at a time.Whenever I open my 2 boxes of fur up to look at the selection of mohair I have and have to make a choice which to use this time I find that all sense of rationing disappears and I end up taking 5 plus pieces out and end up making as many bears.I have even had about 9 on the go but the only problem is that making that many at a time takes me ages to finish them and during that time the lids on my boxes must remain firmly closed so temptation doesn't set in again. If I opened the lid I know that I will be in big trouble and will end up having even more bears on the go.I have been making bears for a year and a half now and I think I am gradually finding a bit more control as I have opened my box and picked out only three pieces but I am trying to convince myself that that is plenty and I really cannot think of any other bears to make with the other mohair thats left  bear_rolleyes Even with my bears I am doing about 3 different styles where most bear makers only stick to one. Will I ever be cured of this as I am new to bear making or will this be a life long problem bear_wacko Please help me with your suggestions.Icould buy just one piece of mohair at a time but wheres the fun in that!!!!!

I don't blame you for being annoyed. When we spend all the time and a lot of effort and love in making our bears we would like to think that whoever buys them loves them and appreciates them and are not just buying them to make money out of them.We all like to think our bears go to nice people and not those who never really wanted them in the first place.Hopefully the next person who buys your bear deserves to have one of your creations and they will be a better owner than the last one.

Toffee Apple is absolutely adorable and I love her pretty dress. I expect your little grand-daughter will love her-she is one lucky little girl.

Juan is a lovely bear-I expect you won't have him for long. You must have put a lot of work into him and must be proud of the finished result.

Hi Aleta,
I love your little kittens-I am a great cat lover and have four cats of my own.I hope your kittens are a bit better behaved than my two balinese boys(siamesexangora). They are two years old and still swing off the top of my net curtains. You will have to mind all your bear making things as one of mine cannot resist pins and mohair and I now have to keep everything out of their way as I got fed up with having a bear sitting next to me ready to be finished off only to find an ear missing complete with pins and having to chase him round the house with dread incase he swallowed any bear_cry

Hi Kate,
If I had some little elves to give me a hand they could sew all my ears on for me.This is the only bit of bearmaking that I dread.I always leave this bit until last and only push myself to doing them as I know that I cannot say the bear is finished until this is done.I do sometimes think that I will do them sooner just to get them out of the way but there is always plenty of other bear things to do and oh dear I ran out of time  If the elves would do this for me I don't think I would even feel guilty  I must go and make some more bears as hubby is complaining that since I joined teddy talk Ihaven't been making any.
