Matilda Huggington-beareMy parents arrived a day early. Of course I was on the computer at the time. The bed wasnt made and I was one of the great unwashed. Still in my jammies actually. They phoned as they arrived in Perth, so that gave me time to do a quick sheet change and bathe. 
I promptly rang my brother and he came over with his family. That was the way the whole long weekend was played out. All the family together doing touristy things and the old family meal type stuff. I cried of course when my parents were leaving. I have tears 
now just thinking about it. (silly girl) It was so great having them here. It was like they have always been here. It just felt so right. I love my folks so much.
The day they left I took wee Reggie to the vet. He was very ill. He continued with going up and down with his health. One minute good then he would go backwards again. He died 6.30am on the Wednesday that Steve Irwins memorial was held. I did alot of crying that day. I always knew that Reggies life was going to be short.
He was loved though. His mark on this earth may have been fleeting but he left an impression on quite a few people. The poor wee love Sorry for the tears. I seem to be quite emotional of late. Poor Reggie, it was just sooo sooo sad. 
Then my computer crashed. BIG TIME. The bugger. 
and then my computer guy was soooooo busy it took him a week before he could even pick my computer up. But then it only took a couple of days before he returned it. With Photoshop on it an' all. :dance: :dance: I have no idea how to use it but I've got it. hehe........I ALSO HAVE A NEW CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went into Perth today to a proper Camera shop. I wanted to buy from someone who knew what they were talking about plus jog my memory. AND IT HAS A MACRO SETTING AN' ALL
I cant wait to start using it.
AND AND AND .....more news.....HEATHER'S SWAP BEAR ARRIVED TODAY :dance: , it only took 3 months to get here. :crackup:I cant wait to take pics. You should see his wonderful eyes. My new camera will be able to take such detailed shots. I tried it in the shop. We were shooting a wee teddy and he came out brilliantly.
I wasnt going to buy a camera that couldnt shoot 'great teddy'.
Oh yeah! one more thing.... I've started using Xylitol. I can hardly believe how it has evened out my blood sugar. AND it can be used as sugar is used for baking and such. Just brilliant. It's great stuff.
OK that's all. I'm glad to be back. I've missed you guys. :hug: :hug: OH one more thing.... I have been sewing heaps while I've been grounded. You can get lots done when not on the computer.

Great that you got to spend time with your Mum and Dad, got your puter fixed, gained Photoshop and a new camera and got lots of off puter time to make some more of your wonderful bears...Whoops! nearly forgot...great news about your blood sugar too!

Welcome back Wendy... and I'm SO sorry about Reggie I know what you mean about that week that Steve Irwin passed away... we lost our cousin at that time too. Don't think I can cry anymore....

I havent had a chance to catch up on reading your posts . I hope to catch up gradually these next few days.
I was playing with my NEW :dance: camera last night. I was taking pics of this wee 1 1/2 inch bear I have hanging off a lamp. I was able to focus on his wee wee face with the lamp light shining straight onto him with amazing precion. (sp?) am having a spelling blank this morning please bear with me. I'm amazed at how many features it has. HINT!!!! for those who are thinking of buying a new camera. Take a wee critter with you. The camera salesman and I were playing with taking pics of this 2 inch teddy . Then he printed them out. That's when I made my final descion(sp?)
