A SIGH OF RELIEF because I just checked online and ALL the bears I shipped to Schaumburgh, IL for the OctoBear Faire this weekend have arrived!!! I've been so worried about them all!

A GLIMMER OF HOPE because my hubby finally heard back from the company in Maine about the job he wants so badly.... he got through the phone screening and they want a TWO DAY interview with him next week!!!!!!  :dance:

A BRIEF GOOD-BYE because I fly to Chicago tomorrow for the Schaumburg show this weekend. It's my first time doing this show or traveling this far to any show so I'm really excited!! Laura Lynn Matthews has so graciously offered to have me stay at her house... I'm so excited to finally meet her as we've been email buddies for about 3 years now!

It'll be nice to get away from my 'life' for a few days. We're waiting for MRI results on Dad as they think he has a blood clot in his brain, Dad's best friend is in the hospital on his last days after a long battle with Agent Orange, mom's knee surgery went well but is a slow healing process, my 94 yr. old grandmother has been having a tough time lately and I'm the one responsible for her and now our dog, Tucker, has been diagnosed with kidney disease which will lead to kidney failure.... this is a common disease in wheatens but one always hopes the odds will be in their favor. He already has digestive problems requiring a home cooked meal, now meds and more gray hairs for me!

I NEED TO GET AWAY!!!!!!

I'll be back on Tuesday!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Oh Daphne,  a well deserved get-away for you, for sure.  Sorry to hear about all the health problems of your loved ones.  Sounds good for your husband's job.  I can't imagine them wanting a 2 day interview if they weren't very serious.

Have a wonderful time at Schaumburg ! ! !  Look forward to a report on the show.

Sorry to hear of your troubled news, my husband is a Vietnam Veteran and so agent orange is always in our thoughts because of behaviour problems and health troubles.

Daphne, I hope you have a wonderful time on your getaway. Sounds like you really need it! I'm sorry to hear of all the illnesses in your family. I'll keep them all in my prayers. And my fingers crossed for your hubby. I hope everything works out just the way you would like it to. So, anyway, I wish you a safe and fun-filled trip. I'm bummed I can't get there especially as close as I am. Oh, well, there's always next year.
