Mrs Barnes hopes to start a national campaign asking for the factory to be saved and hopes a benefactor will come forward.
Jeanette Barnes, of Weston-Super-Mare, loves the Ironbridge firm’s bears and says they must be saved at all costs. The 40-year-old, whose collection of about 1,000 bears includes many from Merrythought, is pleading for someone to save the firm and intends to start a petition.
Anyone interested in Mrs Barnes’s campaign can e-mail her by visiting this link below and clicking on her email address.

I sincerely do hope that a benefactor can be found in time... Good on her for at least trying
i e-mailed Jeanette to ask to sign the petition.
I do hope that someone will have the money to save Merrythought.
Maybe we should directly write to The Queen. She is rich enough to help!
