Sorry, I finished the hat only today and the weather is cloudy, so the pictures are not very good...

Finally, I have finished him.
I began Marzin in october, but once I started my new job i had not much time for him.
His coat gave me a lot of trouble and making it was a real challenge.

his name is Marzin and he is 32 cm tall.
I made him in a 5 mm golden Schulte mohair, sparse and toothy.
He has black glass eyes.
He is filled with Kapok (in the muzzle and feet) and heavy dense polyester (plus steel beads and plastic pellets in his tummy).
his paw pads and foot pads are in ultra suede.
I embroided his nose with twisted cotton and then gently waxed it with bee wax.
I embroided his mouth with the same cotton thread.
his claws are made with beads.
I made the shadings with Marabu textile paints.
He has a little bell in each hear.
I made his coat with cotton fabric from a shop specialised in patchwork fabrics. I doubled the coat with velvet like fabric.
The coat is closed thanks to so beady system I made.
I put some beads too on the sleeves.
He wears a hat i handmade too with some Makin's clay (for people who have never heard about it, search on Internet: this clay is great and does not need cooking: it takes 24 hours to dry at room temperature and stays softer than Fimo clay).
After struggling to get the right shape and leaving it dry over night, i painted it with some acrylic paint (many layers as i was adding more and more layers until I was pleased with the colour  bear_tongue ) and let it dry. Then I added some glitter and once dry, a layer of varnish.
I made two holes on each side so I could put some linnen thread to attach the hat to the ears of the bear. I added some beads on the attaches. The hat is removable as well as his coat and necklace.
I made him a bead necklace too. The big fancy one is a glass bead. when you look through it it is magnifying things.

I hope you like him!

Beary hugs,
Sophie.
