Every body must be getting ready for shows. I have off to day and there is no one to talk to . FEELING just a little blue that no one can come out to play.

I just got on, Jodi.  Saturdays and Sundays are notorious for fewer posters . . . everybody uses the weekend to do chores, catch up on playtime, or whatever.  Yep, and I'm getting read for a show, too.  We'll be back, though!

Yeah, I'm here and bored too!
My husband works till 3:00 on Saturdays. I just walked the collie. I think I'm about to cut out a new mini from black fur. Hoping to get a haircut today too. Would like to go hiking today. It's so pretty and warm.

Hey Karen,

I got that!  bear_laugh Pretty clever of you, trying to get us to do your work! But I think I'll have to pass! So you're dressing your real cats up as pirates!? I got to see pictures of that!
I used to have a nasty mean cat named Romeo who would chase me and attack me...one day he fell out of a tree and broke his leg. He had to have a cast put on his back leg. But did that stop him from chasing me and trying to kill me? No, it did not. I could always hear him coming from behind faster and faster, his cast hitting the floor...Kerplunk! Kerplunk! Kerplunk! I knew then to run! From then on we called him Peg Leg Romeo.

Today was a fog for me. Woke up groggy and stayed that way! It is allergies, plus
something the dramatic temp changes do to my sinuses (we went up about 25 degrees
today, hooray!) Wasted most of the afternoon having to deal with tummy issues, but
managed to draw a new pattern, cut it out in mohair, and dump it into a big pot full of
tea and vinegar (bear soup!) where it sits still. White is for bunnies, say I!  bear_grin

A nap set me much closer to right. A sandwich did me better still. Now I'm going to have
a delicious hot shower, and then I believe I shall dump the tea, set the bear pieces out
to dry, cook some roving in fresh vinegar solution, and paint it with acid dyes. I've been sorely
missing my spinning wheel lately (been concentrating on bears!) and I haven't any nice colors
of wool to spin. So it is time for fun. My poor little dye squirting bottles haven't even been used
yet!

UGH me too!!  My sinuses are sooo sensitive to weather changes..I can predict snow and a thunderstorm before the weather man  .  I was walking around in sinus misery earlier until the lightbulb went off..duh, it went from snowing and 20 degrees to 63 and sunny in 3 days! Whacky weather!
Hope you're feeling better...I am already.

I'm now working on a teddy bear repair.  I'm taking before and after shots, so we'll see how it goes!  My family doctor has a Zotty teddy that was her mom's.  My Doc's dog got hold of poor ted and ripped his lower lip clear off..actually the whole felt/mohair mouth is gone.  So as much as I asked  "are you sure you don't want a "repair pro" to fix him" she insisted I take him home.  She even wrote out a script for facial surgery bear_grin How cute is that?! I found a perfect match for the felt and then aged a mini mohair to an almost exact match of the muzzle fur.  So far so good...just made the pattern for the repair.  He's an adorable bear with a working growler and the coolest curly Mohair.  Very nice condition too...except for the doggie injuries.  Wish me luck!  bear_original

I'm just reading this post at 7.48 am Sunday morning. Why am I not all curled up in bed having a nice lay in you may ask...CHUNKY my Cavalier spaniel thought I would like to be up and playing...or so I thought. I got up with him only for him to fall right of back to sleep on the dinning room carpet. So I thought I would check out TT and see what you've all been up to whilst I was having my short Saturday night sleep. I plan to finish a little bear off today and then cut out a nice big cuddly traditional bear that has ben floating around in my thoughts for a few days. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Hugs Jane.  bear_thumb  bear_flower  bear_thumb
