Hi.  I am sure many of you can relate to this.  You send off a bear or critter then recieve a lovely email from a happy collector. When I get letters I often print  and tuck them away to read at a later date...or whenI am feeling down.
I am not sharing this to pat myself on the back but rather to share one of the reasones why this business is so rewarding.

This letter is from a lady who works in Animal Rescues.  Animals are her life.  I did a custom order fro her of a Lion and Lamb set I call, "Let There Be Peace"...and I made her wait sooo long bear_sad

Hi Judi,
Yesterday was quite an emotional day for me. The day started with my having to put my oldest dog to sleep.  She had really been doing fine and only started to get sick during the weekend, but by Mon. we knew that we weren't going to be able to save her.  The vet very kindly put her to sleep and gave her the peace she deserved. Still, I had time to tell her how much I loved her and how much I would miss her, and that I knew we would be together again some day at the Rainbow Bridge.  She went to sleep very calmly and quietly and I know her many dear animal friends were there to greet her and make her transition easier.  I miss her with all my heart, but I am happy to know that she is running free with her friends and is no longer suffering.
Needless to say I pretty much cried my eyes out all day yesterday.  When I got home I found that one of my caregivers had been kind enough to pick up my mail.  Your big box was there waiting for me, and once I opened it I kept right on crying, but for quite another reason.  This lion and lamb set are so beautiful and so exceptional that it brings tears of joy to my eyes just to look at them.  I can't believe that I am the owner of such an exceptional piece of art. I will be thankful to have these two friends every day of my life. I look at them and truly wonder why we can't have everlasting peace for all.
Thank you again for this inspirational and beloved set. I truly believe that the timing was also a Divine gift to bring me so much joy in the midst of my grief.
                      With love,
Ellen and her two very dear new friends

This just reaffirms why I am in this business.
I would love for any of you to share how your bears or animals have touched others.

Very touching.

Don't think it could be presented any better than your exquisite piece and the response from the lady who received it.   bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub

That is a beautiful story Judi .  I really does make all the time and hard work meaningful when you see how much it touches someone's life.  Funny how you said you made her wait sooooo long,  ah, but  God's timing was perfect in the end.   Bravo !!!

I have received some wonderful emails from from collectors.  My favorite story is from a fellow TT actually who bought 2 of my bears.  Her mom is in a nursing home and loves to have her daughter bring one of my bears in for visits.  She said her mom  gets a lot of pleasure from cuddling my bear and having it  stay with her for awhile.

Is there any better job than a bear artist

During a swap I did with a couple of people on another group, One made it clear that my bear was not welcome at her house while the second lady wrote telling me that her son fell in love with the bear I sent.  She said he refused to give it up and informed me that it was camped out on top of his computer.

WoW Jenn, somebody was actually that rude???? That is very rude!!! But I am glad the other lady's son fell in love with your bear.

I have not made a bear in quite some time because I am still nervous.  I also decided to build up supplies before I dive back in.  Hopefully I will have an example of my work when I go to the next show in San diego.
