You may get differing opinions on this one, but the miniature group that I belong to considers a mini to be 4" and under.  I know for some of the competitions they say 5" and under , I can only tell you what our group stipulates.

Very cute bear for your first design,  keep up the great work

My miniatures are usually 3 & 1/2 inches to 4 inches. And I think that's a pretty good size to aim for when making a mini. I have done even smaller...less than 3 inches...very difficult though!

I used to make 5 inch bears when starting out...and I consider them minis but I prefer them to be smaller. A true mini is probably 4 inches and under...but it can be a wee bit bigger than that. Hope that helps you. Love your bear!  bear_wub

I don't consider mine miniature in the true sense, mine are around 4-6 inches.  But I still chat in this section as the details and things are similar and I still do call them my mini bears.  But I know they aren't exactly bear_wacko  In competitions here the section I enter is under 6 inches, mini, but maybe that is done because of limited entries.

I've always considered minis to be 4 inches and under, most of my bears are 2 to 4 inches....

I usually put them in the category of up to 5 inches for miniatures
and micro mini's up to 2 inches.
The smallest I have ever made is 1 and 1/2... and that's small enough for me.
