Some of you may remember pics of Andrea that I posted in November. She is a German Shepherd pup that I took in from a less than good situation. She is now 8 months old, and she is a beauty. But she sure has been through the wringer the past 4 months. We cannot prove anything, but we are sure that she has been abused. There are 2 vertebrae at the base of her neck that have been shattered and they have really given her a lot of trouble. We were afraid that we would have to put her down at one point. The vet thought that there is a possibility these would stabilize because she is so young, and this seems to be happening. She is doing very well now, and she is now able to do all of the puppy things that she could not do before. Like playing with Wynnstan as the pictures show. Every time I think of what was done to her, I just want to get my hands on that person.
Nina - she is just gorgeous!
But oh - her poor neck - it must have given you a lot of sleepless nights. Like you, just the thought of anyone abusing an animal makes my blood boil........but it's good to hear that she is improving - she certainly looks very well and happy!
