Hi all, I have just received a request from a girl in Key West, Florida. Her name is Claire and for her upcoming thirteenth birth she has chosen to do a "Claire "Bear's" Mitzvah Project" Has anyone else received this letter? Basically, she wants to collect 100 bears for children who have been hurt. She will donate them to the Key West Police Departmen and to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
If anyone is interested in helping her out, send me a PM or email and I will share more information with you. I think it is a wonderful project for a 13 year old to be doing, and I am more than happy to help her out.....The bears will be on their way to her in tomorrow's mail...........................

PennsylvaniaPersonally, I would donate to the police dept. in Claire's name. Aside from other reasons, donations to the police dept. could be tax deductible whereas donations to a person who is not registered as a 501(c)(x) organization are probably not.
Bears like to help children in need but they also like getting a little recognition at tax time.
