Hi i was wondering if anyone could help, i recently purchased this bear and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about him.and what he was used for. He stands approx 3ft and has two captive threads in his bottom pad, he has the iron bridge,shropshire logo.I thank you in advance. 
The Littlest ThistleMerrythought is based in Ironbridge in Telford, Shropshire. They have a website at http://www.merrythought.co.uk/ and a contact page, so they may be able to tell you. They have made bears of all shapes and sizes and all manner of other critters over the years (I was lucky enough to spend some of my childhood near their factory/shop) but I believe it's stayed within the same family, so hopefully someone will be able to remember this little one.
