Anyone have experience creating a slide show? So far I've wasted a LOT of time.
1- First I worked with an online program. Got the whole slide show finished and was told that I could not use it on my website unless I paid a monthly fee!
2- Next I used my i-photo program. Created a very nice slide show only to find out it was almost totally unusable; it could only be used as a movie which many customers may not be able to play.
3- I am now talking to my computer guy about doing it for me but I hate to admit defeat

I have the full suite of Final Cut Pro. I can do that easily. I can make it almost any file format you want except that I won't make WMV Windows Media files. However, I can make files that will play on most computers. (mp4 is an almost universal format, these days.)
What size do you want? To play on your television via DVD? If you want full-screen, half-screen or quarter-screen on your computer I can make those. I can make them suitable for embedding on a web page and/or uploading to YouTube.
Tell me what you want and I'm sure I can do something you like, or at least get you on the right track.

Edit: You say you used iPhoto or iMovie to make a video that won't play on the internet? Might be just a matter of simple format conversion. Does the file say, ".mov" at the end or something else?
