Hi! I'm new here!

I have a bear. My grandmother gave it to my mother. My mother wants me to find as much info on it as I can.

It measures approximately 21 inches from head to feet. The face is some plastic of solid vinyl feeling material. It's leg, arms, and head are jointed and can move. It's rather heavy and it's body is has a solid inner material. On the back there is a metal windup thing with the word "Laurel" on it. There is also a tag on the back.

One side of the tag reads as follows:

(c) The Discriminating
Bear Collection TM 1984
TEDDY TOGS
& BEARS CO
Oakland, CA
All New Materials Pat Pend
Handcraft in CA

The other side of the tag has to be an image of what appears to be a bear in a bikini and sunglasses running holding an umbrella with the words "The Discriminating Bear Collection" written in cursive.

I'm not sure if the clothing actually came with the bear or not. One piece is a dress - think raggedy ann style except red plaid. The other is a navy style hat with the words USS Nautilus on it commemorating to the USS Nautilus submarine. Again I don't know if either of these actually came with the bear.

I'm usually good at finding things on Google but I have yielded no results with the information I have given. Does anyone know anything about this or even the company that made it? Any help would be appreciated. Below is an image. Thank you in advance.
