Hey everyone!  I just went to my first bear show (the one down in Indianapolis), and it was SO NEAT!  I had a really good time looking at all those other artist's bears, got to get some mohair from Intercal, some needlefelting needles from Neysa (oh man I hope I spelled that right!) and met some REALLY nice ladies and some REALLY nice bears!

I went mostly to get an idea of how to 'be in a show', and to get a hands-on with other artist's bears... so many amazing artists!

Aren't shows a blast!?  I haven't done one in 6 years and am so excited about the San Deigo show this August.  I am finding it hard to hold back bears as I like to offer them as they are made but I so want to have a really nice display for the show...and I want to meet the public.  Still, even though I am excited, I am also a little nervous.

You will have a blast, Judi. "Bear people" are so wonderful and fun to talk with. I exhibited at my first teddy bear show in 2001 at the Nevada City show, and all I can say is wow. I did two very small shows after that, and then I went into hibernation, but I would REALLY like to do a show next year. My husband loved the Nevada City show, too, so he would love for us to do another.

Have a great time!  bear_flower
