Hi all, I just wanted to show you all how my house has been for the last week and a half. Dunno if you can grasp the situation, but what we have here is 400+ pounds of dogs living in our modest 1300 square foot home. Two are ours (the one in the very front and the one in the very back) and the other two are visiting along with my dad until August 7th. I have gotten my fill of big dogs for a lifetime, I think.
Oh yeah, and they are all completely inside dogs. Now now, we DO let them out to go to the bathroom, but if we leave them out any longer than that, we get dirty looks. lol
In order from front to back are Frodo, Katie, Buddy and Rocky-Roo. Hey, but they all coordinate nicely!
Gotta love dogs! lol

LOL... I think I would go nuts with so many big dogs around! I am glad that mine are small and don't slobber... (Daisy is 10 lbs and Max, I would say is around 20 (he keeps growing, and growing....)
lol, luckily, these are all dry mouth dogs... even the Newfie (second dog back) is pretty dry... until she drinks water and comes over and rests her head on your arm.... YUCK! lol

My male pom, Max, has a problem with laying on steps when I am trying to walk up them... and when I nudge him with my foot, he looks up at me as if to say "do you mind? I'm laying here!" Gosh, he is a brat LOL...
Beautiful dogs, Kim but is there any room left for the people of the house? Our dogs think they own the beds and all the comfiest furniture around here and are quite put out if they have to share! lol
lol, well one plus... They don't get up on the furniture... while we're home. BUT, doing ANYTHING in the kitchen requires some cha-cha dance steps, as they seem to looooove to position themselves strategically in front of the sink, dishwasher and stove (Rocky Roo is the only one who has learned to 'just stay out of the kitchen'). Just this morning, I was trying to make my way from the bottom of the stairs through our breakfast nook and into the kitchen and had to step over 4 dogs, one of which (Katie) decided that that was THE moment to stand up. When we come home, I have to coax Brynn (our youngest) into the house, as she is completely bombarded by dogs that are literally just as tall as she is. Yes, the Whitlock household is dog-i-fied....

I can just picture it now!
Forget "Dancing with the Stars," how about "Dancing with the Dogs!"
I think their stategy is to trip you up and make you spill something while cooking so they can lick it up. People food is just tastier than dog food! My dogs are fairly small, they tend to get hurt when someone trips over them, so they are reduced to looking pitiful and hoping for a sympathy crumb.
Bonnie.... How do you know people food tastes better than dog food?
Yes, it's quite humorous to see me trip over dogs and stuble around like a deranged ballet dancer. LOL They uh... keep me on my toes... lol
Luckily they are better about not trying to take your face off when you try to feed them like Renae's Moosie... They just stand around, mouth watering, licking their chops and flicking drops of saliva all over my arm as I try to scoop food. Mmm Mmmm, makes me hungry!

That looks like a house full of joy to me. Beautiful dogs, I love them.

Yes! what is up with that!?? I have 4 myself (Lab, English Shep, Shiloh Shep, and Beagle...none are visiting ) and it's my path between the stove and microwave that they just LOVE to plop in front of...the sink and dishwasher. I know the girls are just waiting for a casserole to fall one day. Our boy Beagle isn't up for the long wait, he just sniffs along the floor looking for any bits and pieces....he's like that vacuum cleaning machine on Tellitubbies!!
Bonnie....I'm wearing an old bed time sweatshirt tonight that reads "Dances with Woofs". no lie
Renae...feline roadblocks are different in my house...theirs are more graceful and sly where I'm saying "wow, what was that, was that a cat there??? as something looks up at me from across the room like "what? who..me?...no, you're just getting clumsy".
Kim, Your dogs are gorgeous! Such happy faces...Company, Play time!! Frodo's a sweetie, I love tri colors. My English Shepherd is a tri...I fell in love with the "pumpkin seed eyebrows" Frodo's got the same
