... that some people in here ( and it is obviousely a tiny minority) are just too much problem oriented to see when a problem is over.
They can´t get enough of stirring up shit.
Yes, I used this word in here, sorry, even if I get banned for using it.
I used to be admin in a cat forum, where the same childish behaviour took over from time to time ( dunno if it was caused by the full moon or what) and I tried to conciliate and help without any progess.
So people who kept the fire of hate going were banned.
Finito.
Basta.

Cheeses, lighten up you stirrers!!
We´re at the edge of a third world war, economy is going down the drain, ecologically we´re in a desaster and all you can do is saw hatred to get rid of your frustations and anger about yourself.

My grandfather, who was a caring, loving and wise man used to say:

a sausage has a beginning and an end

.

End being so hatefull and ignorant against your fellow people!

Is it so hard, to once not be the one who´s right?
Think about what you could do to make this world a more peacefull place. Step one would be: respect your fellow people and their opinion.

This is cyber space. Your live doesn´t depend on it,  this forum is meant to be productive; in thoughts, in ideas, in getting to know other people, and I think it is a great place.
Can we please get back to having normal conversations?
If not, maybe an extra section of the forum should be set up as a brawl room, where those, who just cannot live without hate and anger punch each other in the face.

Sorry to all those, who read this and don´t have anything to do with this bad business.

Although this is long and drawn out, I respect people's freedom that if they feel they need to post publically, than so be it.

At least by the topic title you can usually tell what post has what kind of content, so posts that offend can easily be avioded.

But I agree with you Gaby, this is just cyberspace.

Differing opinions is one thing.
Disrespect is another.
There is no room for disrespect here.

It should not be allowed at all, and should definitely not have been allowed to escalate to the height it has.
For that I am disappointed in the admin. here.

Sitting back and waiting to see what happens has likely cost TT their reputation!
Will word now get out that if you have problems with any bear artists, like to do verbal battle and everyone is fair game to pick apart then TT is the place to go????? You won't get warned, your posts won't be deleted, you won't get kicked off so you can say anything and treat any one the way you want to? What kind of a board do you really want this to be Admin?

Daphne, I hear what you're saying.

There have some very obvious changes around here as of late. I can see how you would expect the admin to control it.

But in the big picture, it's not all that bad. I've seen so much worse on other forums. I mean really bad stuff. I guess I'm just different, I appreciate that we're not super censored  here and these posts are allowed to stay. But that's just me.

It's bickering, but I can always choose to ignore it. There is lots of other chat anyway.

Gaby, I appreciate your post.  If we DON'T respond to obvious attempts to cause disruption and bad feelings on our board, then the perpetrators haven't won.  If they can't get anyone to play their distorted, disrespectful games, then they have no purpose in posting.

Ah, but people DID play and a lot got hurt and many long-time members here are leaving or taking a sabatacle, some new folks are a bit bewildered. No one stepped in once the battles begun.

I do agree that the best thing to do is ignore the 'perpatrators' (gee, where have I heard that idea before?  ) but there are many here with protective or defensive instincts, others with great debating skills and many more that just speak up because they've been hurt. Expecting EVERY member to have still fingers at a time like that is unrealistic, I see that now. So we are at the mercy of the admin to rise to the occassion, 'handle' the perpatrators, back up their own rules for use of this forum, and keep this a welcoming, diverse, helpful and friendly place to be as I expect that's how the vast majority here would like it! (If I'm wrong on that please say so.... nicely!)

Come back to your usual respectful and caring and friendly behaviour!
Enough people got hurt.

I agree with Gaby.

The dark page is turned.

I send you all lots of love and lets have fun together and support each other as we are all doing it so well!

Hi,
I completely hear what is being said and I think that on any forum I've been on this occurs and it should. We need checks and balances in life most times.  But, and this is where I might be seeing this differently, TT is not like other forums in that it is directly attached to a business.

In saying that TT is a business, it would not be fair to be put in the position to pick and choose between what are essentially their consumers.  Who do they pick to delete, who do they choose to boot, what effects would it have on their business?  Imagine what could happen to a business if word of mouth spread that they kicked off "so and so" or did not respect "so and so's" opinion.  Internet wildfires are what businesses like AOL, Comcast, Verizon, McDonlad, etc battle everyday.  It would cost TT/Intercal and that in turn would cost us.

This is a business and they need to do what's best for business, just as we should be viewing every word we type out as a personal business message to our own consumers. We're all telling our consumers in black and white how we work. It's our own responsibility to ourselves to be good business people.  We're just borrowing a "board room" with cyber chairs, cyber tables, and cyber paper in someone else's corporate office.  It's always casual Friday, but it still means we are expected to behave like the good business people we all truly are.
To the point of hurting TT's reputation.  In my eyes it's the individuals tarnishing individual reputations.  TT is just an empty online tool that we the users create, it's our reputation as individual artists and participants that's on the line, not TT or Intercals.
People will never have still fingers, it's what we as business people do with those fingers that matters.  I asked myself this: Would you print out your postings and use them as a hang tag, would you place them on your show table, would you submit them to a magazine?  That's my motivation going forward.  I like this site and I like the direction it's now taking.

Oh, I must add...I just placed an order and again Intercal has wowed me with their service standards!  Just amazing  bear_original

I do agree with what y´all are typing here, but...but...I actually was hoping no one would answer my post bear_whistle  and just do a wee thinking and then go on with having a good time here.
Maybe I shot myself in the foot here, my post was without blaming anybody I just wanted to be the virtual wake up call.
Let´s just say, this thing is over...the pie is eaten...the dog is dead and lets get back to anime style antique bears ( I koooove it bear_wub ) and recipies for a delightful evening.
    to you all!
