Oh gosh! You know...the people on this forum are just  the very best. We are blessed to have such great friends.

I am the biggest mush when it comes to this. You might even say that I am sappy! I appologise for that but I am SAPPY!

Thanks guys so much. Did not expect any posts from this as I just wanted to say how pleased I am that we are all in tact.

I know that many of us have discussed the subject of depression before on this forum and that many of us suffer from it. I have my boughts three or four times a year and have had since a small girl.

I have not discussed it before but I know that many of you know what I mean. Anyway thank you for all concerns and I am just fine and well the blues just seem to have to visit me from tme to time as they do for all of us.

My Mom used to say get over it Louise but we all know sometimes we just need to feel that way and let nature take it's course.  Anyway , thank you for all your concern and yess I am in tact (Well Garnet might argue that!) But I am going to be more active as I miss you all.

Hugs and Love Louise

Great to hear from you Louise.  Sorry to hear you suffer from depression - hope this bought is over and done with!

I am so pleased to hear you're going to be a little more active, as the list suffers when you're not here and not drinking your Merlot!!!!!!!

Hi Louise, i know what you meen about depression I am going through a bout now.
I just try to keep quiet, knowing it will pass in time.  Not easy though. bear_sad
I think it may be because we are all so artistic, that alot on here come down with it.
But, if we stay away from our ears we will pull through  bear_original  bear_flower

aww honey,

even golymakers can suffer from clinical depression.  And it isn't anyone's fault.

hmmmmm

Does this mean I have to be a grown up and not blame my mom?

...........(we psych types always want to blame the moms)...........

OKOK..........

Its no ones fault, and just a brain chemistry thing.

Hang in there, my love!

hugs

 Welcome back, Louise--you were sorely missed

As for TT, we're unsinkable. bear_original

Dilu's right, as usual.

Depression is a brain chemistry thing, not a character failure or Mom's fault--unless you inherit the brain chemistry thing from Mom, who inherited it from someone else, so it's still not her fault! bear_wacko

That said, it sucks. Nobody should put up with it, but a lot of people feel they should tough it out, until it becomes a way of life. bear_angry

These days, there are some very safe and effective treatments available, and I hope you'll look into them if you haven't already. I was reluctant to go on meds at first, but I had to function for the sake of my daughter, who has OCD.

I'm glad I did--these meds turned me back into myself, someone I'd missed for a long time!

I totally understand, Louise.  I just went through one of those "down" times myself.  I thought once I finally got on medication that I'd never have to wade through those dark, murky waters again.  Wrong!  But, at least those blue days aren't as intense and don't last as long as before Paxil.  Take care, my dear, and we're so glad you're back with us!

Yay, Louise is back!!  How about a rousing "Fuzzy Slippers" night?  That will lift your spirits for sure.  You'll be so busy reading and laughing and typing that, at least for a bit, the dark clouds will surely lift.

Warmest bear hugs,

Hi Louise,

All the best people suffer from depression e.g. Churchill had his 'black dog'.  Take it to be a sign of greatness..............................

I'll probably regret asking this but Aleta - whats a fuzzy slipper night? Remember I've led a sheltered life....................

Fuzzy Slipper night is a designated night and time to partake in a bit of beverage (Louise likes Merlot, I like a Lemon Drop Martini) and conversation with several TT'ers online at once.  Everyone is invited to join in!  You must be able to read and type pretty quickly to keep up with the conversation though because it goes pretty fast.

I think the last time we had a Fuzzy Slipper night we had one.....hmmm....maybe two threads going at once.  It was a riot.  The only problem with the last one we had was the time difference.  A lot of UK and Aussie TT'ers weren't able to join in.   bear_sad

Oh, and the Fuzzy Slipper part comes from the way Merlot lingers in my mouth.  It feels like I'm wearing fuzzy slippers on my teeth.  Yuck!  That's why I prefer martini's or a lovely Chardonnay.  However, Louise says martini's give you flatulence.  I think they give Louise flatulence.  I've never had that problem!

Now, aren't you glad you asked?!!!   bear_original  bear_laugh  bear_laugh  bear_original

Aleta, I second that, but not until we get in our new house, please. Or if you have one sooner than that, I want another one soon, okay?
