Hi everyone! I am back from Minneappolis and I wanted to share a photo with you of me and my partner in crime, Nancy.
Nancy and I met for a NIADA ( National Institute of American Doll Artists) conference. I am not crossing over into dolls but I still thought it would be a nice place to meet up with Nancy and maybe learn some new things, become inspired and SHOP at the Mall Of America!!!!
Someone snapped this photo while we were discussing, over a cold drink, which bank to rob for our next shopping adventure....... HA HA!
We had a fabulous time and were completely blown away at the level of artisty of these extrordinarily talented people. Not just in thier art but in thier attitudes as well.

You both look like you have been "busted"...caught in the midst of a shopping conspiracy!!!
Judi - How did you feel after that tall brewsky??? Ha! Ha! Welcome back!!! I hope you had a nice time and lots of fun!!!

   We had other photos of us with bags of "money" but we liked this one the best
Thanks Melissa.
We had a great time seeing so much inspiring art/artists and shopping for more hours than we can count.
 Now that's how to go shopping!!! What a great idea to get inspired by dollmakers. They've got so many amazing artists as well. I remember being in awe of a doll artist from Washington that did these incredible fairies. Literally looked like she'd waved a wand in the Rainforests of Washington, froze 'em and drug them in to sell Just gorgeous!
Judi, hubby and I were looking to go the Mall of the Americas...is it really all its built up to be? We were hoping for some decent clothing stores, but from what we could see, it looked like a gigantic strip mall.
glad you had such fun.....
but even more glad you are home safe and sound.....
oh dear I sound like a grandmother....hmmmmm

Debbie, Yes, it is all it is cracked up to be. It is set up with four big anchor stores, Macy's , Bloomingdales, Sears, and Nordstrom. Then in the center of the mall is a amusment park, including a large ferris wheel and roller coaster andf many other rides, all indoors covered with a glass roof. There are three stories of shops connecting the all the anchor stores, in a big circle. In one area there are four stories.
There are many fancy boutiques and brand name clothing stores. A HUGE DSW Shoe shop...we went there about four times. A big lego store, an Aquarium, tons of food places ranging from fast food to fancier sit down establishments. I got Nancy hooked on fruit smoothies
There are a total are 4.3miles of walkway connecting the shops. You'll need several days to see it all. I'll be going there again!
Thanks Sue Ann. We had such a great time but it's alwasy nice to come home.
Looks like it'll be a must see then!
Thanks for telling us about it Judi!!
He he he, it looks as if you went back into the future!!!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Looks like great fun , thanks for sharing.

Nice to see you had a great time Judi. The shopping mall sounds great, my two daughters would spend a fortune at a place like that...they love their clothes but always have room for more. Thanks for sharing with us Judi, the picture looks fun, you can keep the booze though!
Hugs Jane.
 It's Bonnie and Clyde!!

Danni
Hi Danni, Nancy would have to answer that one. She's mostly been a bear artist for many years but has been dabbling in dolls. You know which Nancy I am talking about, Nancy Tillberg..you know..North Country Teddy Bears/Kranbearys.
Hey ay Judi,
Look at you too. What a great photo! You and Nancy look like you are from that time. Girls you don't want to mess with. hmmmm? Like the six shooters.
The beer looks good too! It sounds like it was wonderful. very cool.
something to always keep close.
hugs hon kassie
Thanks Kassie.
Well, the beers were plastic and the guns. movie props. When we told them we wanted a gangster photo they started pulling out flapper dresses....BUT..as girlie as I like to be I thought it would be cool to be totally out of character and dress in a suit....which added about 100 pounds to each of us.
It was really fun.
