DSC06627.jpgDSC06641.jpgDSC06638.jpgDSC06626.jpgMy sister emailed me this morning to tell me that on her way home from town, late last night something caught her eye at the side of the road.  She stopped and found two kittens in a smucked beer carton.  It was pouring rain and she believes someone tossed them out of a car window!!!!!  Anyway, they were cold and soaking wet and shivering, so she bundled them up in the car and took them home and  she and her hubby spent the night cuddling them with a towel and a hot water bottle.  Theyare doing better now, and they will take them to the vet on Monday to have them checked out.  One is a black male and the other is a orange/black torty female.  Tonight, she said they were eating and sis was trying to locate some kitten formula.  They look about 6 weeks old.  What is wrong with people - couldn't they take t hem to an animal shelter?  Sis will try and find homes for them, but they live in a beautiful farmhouse on 14 acres, so maybe they have alrready found a home LOL!  Here are a few pics she sent to me.

                                                         hugs,

                                                         Brenda

Thank goodness your sister found them and has taken such wonderful care of these babies.  Some people's behaviour just leaves you speechless doesn't it.

Oh Brenda,
If you could only see through the screen at Max looking at the pictures you posted.  He touched the screen with his paw.  I think I'm going to cry.  What IS the matter with people?  These are God's creatures.  We are blessed to have them in our lives whether they are cats or dogs or gerbils or lizards or.......whatever critters they happen to be.

This is such a harsh thing to say but I'm going to say it.......Karma baby.  Karma will catch up to whoever dumped those kittens!!

Divine intervention brought your sister to those kitties.  Bless her heart!

Warmest hugs,
Aleta

P.S.  Max is a TT lurker.  He loves Teddy Talk!!  One of these days I'll take a minute and get a picture of him in front of the TT screen.

That is horrible!! Why are people so cruel?? They are soooo pretty!! Especially the striped long haired kitten. I guess God put them in the right hands of someone that cares. I hope they check out okay at the vet.

And why am I not surprised to hear Max is a lurker...         I bet he tries to sumo wrestle the smiley faces too!!!

People can be terrible terrible things.  It makes me ashamed.

Beautiful kitties.   Good on your sister for doing the RIGHT thing - shame not all people are like her!

Now they are safe and that's the most important.

bear_original What beautiful, beautiful kittens, Brenda--bless your lovely sister for rescuing them.

I agree. She doesn't look likely to give them up!

We've acquired two kittens, a rabbit and cage, and a parakeet from the park, where people just seem to dump animals. The kittens were nearly frozen, the rabbit was being circled by a fox and dive-bombed by seagulls, and the parakeet was a bright blue patch squawking in a clump of weeds.

The kittens were rehomed to a downtown condo overlooking the lake--they're dearly loved by a wonderful couple. The parakeet stayed with us for the rest of his life, and the bunny lasted another 3 years.

All were absolutely terrified when found, but made wonderful pets, and certainly gave happiness way beyond the effort it took to care for them.

Tell your sister that she really should keep these babies.  That female is going to be a beautiful lady some day.  And of course, she won't be happy without her big brother to protect her.

Your sister is an angel! Lucky babies. I've been driven by and almost driven over by people who won't stop to help a kitty in the rain! Humans are waterproof!  bear_grin

What lucky, lucky kittens that your sister came along!  Sadly, it costs money to drop an animal off at the shelter....so most people don't bother.  No, its much easier to stuff them into your stupid ole beer box and chuck 'em out the window  bear_angry   At least the kittens are away from awful people like that.

Well someone was looking after those kittens to make your sister find them. In the long run they are better off to be without those 'humanoids' as owners.

Your sister is a wonderful person to take them in and look after them all night with the hot water bottle. I think that maybe she will now have 2 Angels looking after her. They are absolutely beautiful kittens and you can see the tortoise shell female will be a beauty!!!!

There maybe heartless wicked people in the world, but at least there are more wonderful people to counteract them!!!

And its true, my Mother always says what goes around comes around!!!

Hugs

Brenda, How lucky your sister found them.  It sounds like it was meant to be. bear_wub   Are they keeping the kitties?  If so,  maybe she could name one, "Lucky" and the other, "Angel" bear_thumb  bear_innocent

Judi,
They already have three cats, all male.  They are all "found" kitties as well - a purebred Birman named Ben, an orange tabby named Ezra, and a black and white one named Itsy due to his tiny size.  So far they have kept the kittens segrated until they have them checked out at the vets and then they will decide.  I think it will depend if they can find a home that will take both of them as they want them to remain together.  I think the longer they keep them at the house, the harder it will be to give them up LOL!

If it hadn't happened your sister wouldn't have such a beaming smile on her face in the piccys.  Sometimes bad things happen for something good to happen.  Looks like those kittens and your sister have bonded for sure!

My second favorite cat of all time was a foundling,  They make special friends.

I am so happy for all involved, looks like it ended well.

hugs to you and your sis, for giving two of God's little kritters a new good home.  She will be blessed through it i am sure.

How mean can people get?  Things like that make me ill!  The black one looks like my moms cat who just passed.

Your sister is a wonderful person.  Pets have so much love to give, I just can't understand how anyone can mistreat them.  Please tell your sister that animal lovers everywhere thank her for caring bear_wub

DSC06632.jpgDSC06630.jpgThe kittens are more settled, and my siste, Sue, managed to get some powdered kitten formula, which they are drinking from a bowl, as well some other specialty kitten food.  Their three mature cats are miffed, as they know sometihing is going on in the bedroom and they are shut out and we all know how cats feel about closed doors and they are feeling a little neglected! LOL!  The vets are closed today because of the stat holiday, so they will go tomorrow.  Here are a couple of extra pics.  I guess pretty much the entire weekend has revolved around these two cuties!

What  bear_shocked ...isn't life suppose to be revolved around our fur babies...kittens, cats, cows, birds (feathered in that case)...I didn't know there was another way.

Cute cute cute babies...they look like that are settling in and making themselves a NEW & IMPROVED home.
