Jared !! Do you know a secret ???? Hold on things will get better ???? Maybe you have heard they are giving ALL Kohls employees a $10.00 an hour raise !! Yippie !!!!!!!!!!   What secret do you know ???? Just kidding you. Im just a little down because of being getting over a sickness. Im not 100 percent yet and the last pill I took is still stuck half way down YIPES !!!!! More watter please !!! Better get it my self.......I am used to doing every thing all by my self !!!  :crackup:  I know you understand. The people over me just kill me !! I love the guy over me though.His name is James.But the store mananger........ well lets say she is NOT A PEOPLE PERSON !!!!!  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I have to bite my lip ... and believe me ,for me that is hard... I am the kind of person that lets you know just where you stand. I am not rude or hurtful but lets say I ALWAYS speak my mind so I have to well place my words with her !!!!! Lets just say..... they pay her to much !!!!!  Ummmmmmmm That feels better. Wow you should charge for this !!! :crackup:

Thanks every one , Teddy kisses I send your way !!! I am feeling some what better, and I am getting more sleep at night. I truly was scared there for about 2 days, I was really sick !!! I am still tired but I have one more day to rest before back to work at 6 AM Monday morning , DID I JUST SAY THAT ????? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Glad to hear that you are better!!! The pictures of your family are lovely and you have a couple of real hunks for sons - Your a very lucky lady.

The job life sounds hard, but just keep it in perspective in that you do it for money and just don't kill yourself over it as they will not Thank You for it!!!!

Hope you feel tip top soon!!!

Just keep eating the chicken soup and ice cream !!!

That is a gorgeous house Jodi and you have a lovely family! So glad to hear that you are feeling better - being sick really sucks! We don't have Kohl's in Canada - at least not in western Canada - so my first experience with the store was last winter in Yuma as they just opened one there - nice store and they had lots of good sales. Anyone looking for work or advancement should move here to Alberta - they just can't get enough workers for any jobs and there are signs up looking for employees everywhere! Course the down side is you can't find anywhere to live! LOL! House prices have skyrocketed and not much available to rent.

Yeh, Jared - I can't handle the cold either - that's why we try to go to Yuma Arizona for a few months each winter! Hey - you could house sit! Course we are out in the boonies so you would have a long way to go to get to a job! There's always some drawback! We are actually getting a Walmart in Pincher Creek next year - about 15 min away - YEH!!! - so maybe you could get a transfer -lol!

Love the place but...
I would like to get a different job one that requires different skills...
Plus I am tired of dealing with teenagers and unknown work hours...
Something in the 9 to 5 range and Mondays through Fridays... maybe a nice office job...

Marie, thanks for all your kind words!! Just to make it clear... that wonderful house is my sons house, Jerimie. My birthday dinner was at his house. Mine is much smaller !! Not as much to clean 

JARED : I laughed when I saw the Wally world job in Canada !!! Seems like our Jobs want to follow us !! And YES a 9 to 5 job !!! No weekends !!! Holidays off !!!! No more 6 AM's and no more 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 PM evenings !!!! Boy if you get any good ideas ..... let me know !!!! I have been racking my brain for years !!

Kohls is a good place to be for a customer.... but remember be kind to the sales people !! WE go through allot to work there !! Very STRESSFUL !!! WELCOME TO KOHLS...EXPECT GREAT THINGS ! HAVE A GOOD DAY AND PLEASE COME AGAIN !

Well Jodi -
I have some customers that I wish would never comeback...
My favorites right at the moment are the ones that buy products with a lifetime warranty.
When the item breaks they expect us to replace it. I cheerful tell them that the lifetime warranty is offered by the manufacture and not Wal*Mart.
Then I always get, "What am I suppose to do, it broken."
"Contact the manufacture." SMILE "Here's the phone number call them."
SMILE...
Then they go crying to a manger, who gives them the new item... I could ring somepeople's necks... but I would never... I am too good natured.

Yes I have seen that also.If the customer raises a big enough fit he wins !!! You got to make them happy !!!! I try but some people are just happy being un happy !!!

Glad you're feeling better Jodi..working retail while ill STINKS!!  Been there done that!  I worked retail for 8 years and it broke my back.  I was the manager of a women's clothing shop. Because of the area I live in people expected to be paid more...so I was always understaffed, unable to hire because the pay was horrid compared to other retailers, and the staff I did have weren't working because they had to but because they wanted to get out of the house for a while.  If it snowed 1/8 of an inch they called out, if the kids had a last minute play date they called out, and guess who was always always called in on her one day off??  you got it...me 
The company couldn't keep a floor plan set for more than 3 days..they thought I had large steroid taking elves in the back room to do all of the floor moves during the night. SO needless to say my back was shot after it all.
Oh, did I mention they went out of business too.....yep bankrupt.  But they never listened to us, they might still be around if they had. For all it's issues my store was always ahead of plans and always receiving awards and winning the contests they sponsored...you know the ones where you sell a $100,000 worth of clothes and as a bonus you get a nifty travel mug  :twisted:
My FAVORITE story is when it snowed over 4 feet one Sunday..we were in the middle of a huge blizzard. It was enormous and stalled over us for something like 2 days. We had a governor's warning  where if you're caught on the roads and you're non emergency you get fined big time, maybe even jailed.  So I call my DM (town over) to touch base per policy...she's making pancakes with her hubby...clangin' away with the pots and pans & she tells me to go open the store!  Nit wit    (No I didn't go in.....who the heck is going to go out in a blizzard to buy pantyhose or a blazer??!!! ). 
Hang in there... I'm not going to lie and say it gets better, it never does..it's retail   :crackup:
