I just went out to check out my bear and others and the first listing under bears..before I could hit "ooak" is the most HORRID [INVALID] listing with the most HORRID photo. I'm disgusted with some ebay users anymore, it's just terrible that this is out there with teddy bears. I'm in utter shock right now.
I was so mad about this one that I googled "ebay phone number" and found 2 out online...I called and the erp said it would be removed. (they really don't like you to call...but I don't care! This one deserved a phone call!)
UGH!! What is WRONG with people anymore. I know teddy bears are a huge sell on ebay, but do these whackos think that teddy bear collectors might skip the teddy bear and go for the [INVALID] instead??
UGH...good grief.....
Off to make a teddy bear!!

Chrissi, your reaction is exactly what they wanted. And that stuff appears in any category at any time. Just report it, it has a great many listing violations and will be removed. You don't have to click on the auction to get the item number, you can copy the link location and copy the number that appears after "itemZ" in the code.

also,
, it goes right to the sign in page and could be a way to get your id....I heard about this just yesterday from a friend and was just going to post when I seen this post!!!!

I've seen it on there way too many times. The first time I was reeling with shock too now it just makes me angry. Of course they get it off of there pretty quickly but it really is disturbing ebay can't prevent it from being listed in the first place. I saw one for the first time this summer and I emailed ebay right away. At this point I think that's all we can do. I wrote a longer letter to ebay recently about the need for screening of stuff like this but I only got an automated response.
It would not have happened on Bid 4 Bears......
Nice one Dilu
When you list a bear on Bid 4 Bears, does your auction go up immediately, or does an administrator screen it first? If it goes up immediately, then it most certainly could happen on Bid 4 Bears as well. Unfortunately, any auction (or chat room or whatever)site that lets people upload photos, text, etc. directly is susceptible to unscrupulous people posting whatever they like. These folks are not listing items for sale, just posting the awful pictures to shock and upset people. (which of course it does) A person could do that here on TT too. The administrators would certainly remove it (as ebay does), but not until after it was discovered (i.e.someone sees it) Unless there are people who screen every auction or posting (or some cool new software that does---the bad guys might find their way around that, though) before it goes up, then this can happen.
On Topic - sorta....
2 of my yahoo sales lists have lost their owners in the past year: minis4sale and bears-4-sale. Both of them are filled with [INVALID]. I'm on digest so the postings are all listed first at the top and then the posts. It's really disdheartening to see your clever descriptions listed right between some of that other type.
I'm thinking of giving up those lists. Hate to do it but it's too off-putting. I can onmly imagine that collectors must feel the same.
funny, I´ve never seen porno bears.....and I do prefer my teddies nekkid ( without clothes )
But there are so many sikkos out there, there´s always a new field of strange and disgusting actions...
