After dropping my daughter at school I went to the local shops to Spotlight (big material, craft type store) and was just walking in when two men started an argument about how one parked his car blocking the entrance. I paused as one man was really upset , so trying to calm him I asked what the problem was, he told me and then pointed to another man and siad he was in the inconsiderate driver.

I turned to the first man and said "Yes he's being really rude, but that's just life these days"......the driver then strode over to me and hit me in the face and screamed "Take that bitch!"

Now two weeks ago I ruptured all the ligamnets in my left ankle and currently have a large cast like walking boot on my left ankle and it has a rounded bottom to help you walk.....so guess what ankle a fell back on..I then had to grab the doorway of the shop to keep my balance....so this physco nut is then  shoving and pushing and screaming at me to get out of his way "Because I'll drop you, you bitch"....

The first man is trying to grab him and he hits him another women jumps in and he backhands her to the ground.....it was just mad. He finally jumped in his car and left when another women yelled that she had his rego number and was calling the police.

And this guy is about 65- 70 and looked like your favourite uncle......

So now I have a bruised mouth, scratched up one arm where he grabbed me and he had his car keys in his hand, my ruptured ligaments are aching and burining. Plus 2 hours in the police station giving statements.

THEN....I get home and go to upack the dishwasher and a carving knife falls out and stabs me in the top of my 'good" foot.

Plus I'm allergic to ticks and I got one on the weekend so I'm just recovering from throwing up and being sick all weekend.

So that's my 3 things....I'm still shaking and felling sick....hubby's phoned 3 times from work to see if he needs to come home but I'm going to sit and sew and then pick Lara up from school..........

.....and take her to her martial arts class!!!!!!   If I didn't have this ankle I think I'd join in today!!!

Who wants to buy a lottery ticket with me?????? bear_grin  bear_grin  bear_grin

OMG - What a horrible thing or things to happen!  Thank goodness you are okay apart from being shaken up, bruised, stabbed and then the allergic reaction!  You need to stay home in bed!  I sure hope they catch this guy he is definately out of control!

As for the lottery ticket - maybe you should buy one!

Oh Sandra, that is just so frightening!!!!  You were very brave to try to help that man out, but look what happened. I have to wonder if everyone's favourite uncle has a mental illness, or what on some sort of drug.

Anyhow, I hope your injuries heal up well, and you're not shaky for too long

Did the police talk to you?

Yes we went to the police station and they took all out statements....so they will go to the address attached to the car rego and see whatthe guy has to say for himself.....I'm not sure about pressing charges....with Lara being only 6 and my Dad so ill I don't know that I have time to go to court about it all.....so I;ve told the police that if they think it's an aberration....he's had bad and a really bad day for some reason to let it go but if he is generally an aggreessive "sh**t" then I will as someone needs to pull his head in.

The policeman was lovely and looked at my big "viking" boot and asked me why I didn't kick him in a personal spot with it..."that would have laid him out until we got there" was his comment....

And the really bad bit to all this..........I'm trying to lose weight and have banned chocolate from the house and so I couldn't have any comfort food when I got home..........  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry

Oh Sandra you poor sweetheart. There was you being kind to someone who was upset and this pig of a man saw to attack you! Boy does he need sorting! I hope the police get him good and proper. Isn't it a sad world where some people think they have the right to go on like this and to hit you and the other lady too. I hope you soon feel much better and can put this awful event behind you.

Sandra here's a long distant hug just for you.

OMG Sandra...how awful, I hope you are not feeling shaky for too long.  Someone definitely needs to sort this guy out.

I'm so glad your daughter wasn't with you...that would have been even worse.

It is strange how everything seems to happen at once, hopefully this will be the last for you for a while and life can get back to some sort of normality.

It still shocks me at the behaviour of some people. A man hitting a woman??....That is completely vile!

I wish I was there - I would have given him as good as you got.....I'd have hit him SO hard in the privates he would have needed surgery to remove his danglies from his throat!......

Oh Gemma I love that...........normally I would have too but I was hanging on to the door trying to keep my balance and NOT land on that ankle again.....my doctors threatened surgery if I hurt it again......and I can't afford the time in hospital.......

BUt I did yell at him that he was a disgrace to all men and a weasely coward and that I hoped his wife hated him......don't ask me where that came from ......it seemed like a good thing to say at the time..

Oh Sandra, what a terrible time your having.

and that I hoped his wife hated him

I couldn't imagine someone like him having a wife.
At first I thought it might be drugs, there are some drugs around these days that make people very voilent.
But then if he is 65 - 70 maybe not.  But he certainly is off his rocker in any case.
Better put your feet up and send someone out for chocolate

OMG!! bear_shocked  bear_shocked Sandra that must have been so terrifying!  I hope the police get him before he does anything else and hurts someone even worse than he did to you......and that was horrible enough. bear_sad  It really sounds like this man is mentally ill or something.......very scary that he's out running around and freely assaulting people.  And what luck is that to then stab yourself in your good foot? bear_shocked bear_cry   Be careful sweetie!!

This is terrible, I can't belive it, you poor thing.I hope you are feeling better soon.
You can understand why so many people these days turn a blind eye when they see things happening. They are to scared to get involved just in case they get hurt them selfs.
Good on you for trying to help in the first place.

For the sake of other women I hope you can bring yourself to follow through on any charges, etc. If he's been violent to you...a stranger... the odds are that he's violent to his family, etc. If he is charged it's very likely that he'll plea and there wouldn't be a trial but he deserves to get what's coming to him.
Best wishes,
Marion

Well, darling, pick yourself up and dust yourself off.  I know you will.  The best revenge is success, and you shall have that, I am certain.

Adding insult to injury by stabing your foot? -Thats just not fair.  But you are such a trooper, and you carry on.  And after a November like this you deserve a really great December.

Hope you are feeling a whole lot better....you are too nice....I would have kicked him....somewhere sensitive.  Bless your heart.

Hoping you feel better, and also hoping you never see the Jerk again!

Oh Sandra        , and people wonder why people are not the way they used to be, see what happens when you try to be a good person and help someone else!!!! It is just disgusting, and hitting a woman to boot, that is just downright vile!!!!! I hope you will be okay, you are a strong woman, so hang in there, and remember it comes in threes so you should surley be on the upswing after all of this.

Well Sandra: that was truely a terrible thing to happen to you...I am wondering like Dani, he could be mentally ill. But that is no excuse, he should be arrested. I would prosecute him for I believe you were not the first person he has hit nor the last if not put in jail or get help.

I usually don't get involved when I see two adults getting into an argument. But watch out when I see an adult mistreat a child in public. I will walk over and say something along the lines of "you are abusing this child, God only knows what you do to them behind closed doors...Do I need to call the police?... I can give you a number for help...." Or I give a shock gasp and a piercing look....that will stop them....

Well Sandra, take care of yourself.
