Kim,
lol, yep... But I can tell you all right now that once I'm finished with this OOAK, it'll be the very last and also only one like it..... Also, I don't think I'll be listing this one on eBay, it has too much time and effort in it for me to possibly put up for sale. Speaking of feeling horrible=male persuasion, you are yet another of SEVERAL I've heard this from already... (kinda keeping my fingers crossed) Hmmm, this would be an interesting 'poll'.

Kimberly, I always think of myself as being a fairly scientific, non-supersticious type of person.... but those pregnancy old-wives tales have just always held "true" for me! My husband is REALLY supersticious and really a believer in old wives tales. He's Egyptian, and my absolute favorite one from his culture, which I took FULL advantage of is this.....
If your wife is craving a certain food, and you don't provide that particular food fairly immediately.... the baby will be born with a birthmark/mole for each time that the craving went unsatisfied! I mean... to me that was absolute side splitting funny, and just WAY out there. But it did mean that everytime I felt like I needed a 7 layer burrito, or an Enteman's crumb coffee cake..... I GOT IT, and right away too!
My littlest was born with a tiny little brown pigmentation mark on his left shoulder, and when my husband saw it in the delivery room, he actually said, "When did I not get you a buritto honey?" And it was siad only half in jest!

You are all so fantastic; thank you!! I too hope that these symptoms are gone SOON! I'd just like to get up and go about my usual, normal routine and be able to be a little more active. And cook food without gagging at the smell of about 3/4 of it!!!! That would be nice.
I also have found that chocolate cake with chocolate icing (my favorite sinful treat) doesn't agree with me, either....
lol
Penny,
Exactly... My memory has gone completely out the window! I truly haven't forgotten about it, I do lay in bed at 2 in the morning and think, "Agk! I need to email Penny back!" But please forgive me, I am still here!
Kim,
How funny and what a great idea! Of course, now that I think about it, it won't work for me.... My sometimes unattentive husband left my cravings by the wayside a few times with Brynn and she doesn't have any birthmarks. Don't tell your husband that!!!! lol
The day that I went into labor with Brynn, my husband had gotten up earlier than me and was playing a video game in the living room. Well, I had those really mild contractions that 'just feel like you have to go to the bathroom' and knew I was in labor. I went and lay on the couch behind him and said, "I believe I'm in labor," to which my husband (who hadn't experienced childbirth yet) sat up straight and said, "ARE YOU SERIOUS? REALLY??" and I said "yeah, definitely early labor, I can feel it...." and he just settled back down and played his game. All day. ha ha ha no 'can I get you anything?' or 'do you want me to rub your back?' ha ha ha It's ok, he'll be getting his tubes tied soon.............

Congratulations Kim. What exciting news...

I honestly just can't wait for the ultrasound!
Aren't they just amazing? It seems to make it "real." I've actually had 2 ultrasounds already! The first one was "in-house" by my doctor. She seemed to think I was further along than what I was. (I knew I wasn't.) Then the regular one at the imaging center at 20 weeks. I think 20 weeks is about average for most doctors to schedule them, so only about 8 more weeks for you!
Congratulations Kimberly! I am so happy for you.
Ooo, Sandi, lucky you! I don't know why, but I looove ultrasounds! I guess it's that 'view into that world' and 'seeing them before they're actually born' thing. With my first, I had 3 or 4 ultrasounds (seems like they did more regular ones up in NH) including the one that they had to do when I was past due. Then with my second, they only did one. I was kinda spoiled and bummed. So I'll have only one with this one, too, I'm sure. And yeah, it's usually about 20 weeks when they do it... mid pregnancy, and you can usually tell the gender by then.
I've noticed that I'm juuuuust starting to show.
Is this your first?
