Hi all, I've just received an email from a possible customer through Bear pile asking if I accept e checks through paypal - do any of you do this?  Do you know how it works?

Thanks

Catherine,
An e-check means that the person is registered with paypal but does not have the funds in their account.  They also must not have a credit card back-up so what happens is paypal will extract the funds from the buyers bank account.  This takes a few days to clear but is very legitimate.

I accept this form of payment as it increases the amount of people who can buy your bears.  Just don't send the bear until you receive an email form paypal stating the funds have cleared.  You can also check the expected clear date in the details once the payment has been initiated.

It's perfectly safe.

Hope this helps. bear_thumb
