Much to my son's disappointment, I didn't do much outdoor decorating this year. However, I'll try to remember to take a picture of our neighbor's house. They have the Great American Christmas Kitch Collection displayed on their lawn for all to admire. It's somethin' else again!

Ithe meantime, I'll share Kelly Dean's holiday decorations at his shop. Kelly won't mind, and you'll love his extravagant greens and twinkle lights!

Very pretty Sonya!!  Wow Mindy that shop is GORGEOUS!!

I have a deep childhood scar with outdoor lights.  You see I grew up behind one of "those houses"  bear_grin    You know "the house" in the neighborhood that goes all out each year, paying the yearly bonuses for the electric companies 150 employees.  Yes, my bedroom faced the side yard of "the house".  The life size ferris wheel went round and round til all hours of the night creating a spectacular  flashing "eat at joes" neon sign like display on my bedroom wall each night.  Johnny Mathias christmas carols still send chills up my spine as I recall sleepless evenings of carols and flashing lights.   Finally as a teen I hung dark thick blankets over the windows to at least silence the light..the carols still crept into my ears   (to this day I use thick insulated curtains!!)

Seriously they're great people and still do the display each year and each year during the week prior to Chrismas the Dad is out there in his Santa Suit waving at cars no matter the weather. Fully animated ferris wheels, merry go rounds, jack in the boxes, wooden cut outs and about 25000 lights each year.  25+ years and it still goes on. It's a nice thing for families to see......But remember....there's always a kid behind "the house" that dreads Thanksgiving Day and the boxes of outdoor lights coming out from the neighbors garage   bear_grin

I wonder if anyone has a link to Kelly's old site; not Moel Eyris but of his shop.
The shop front is just the beginning - the inside is a wonderland and he even puts evergrrens and trees behind the shop, along with many lights, as it faces/backs up to the river down below.
It's the fanciest 'alley' I've ever seen!

Fantastics photo's, thank you.   No christmas outside lights for us this year much to my daughters disappointment, too much activity with builder and tradesman going in and out still.  I might just hang them inside somehow. bear_grin

Chrissi- I grew up IN one of those houses.  It is nice to look at others ,  for some reason I found it embarassing to have all this attention on our house.  I always joked that the power company would send my parents a "thank-you " card every Christmas    I just have a few light on my own house and my mom wonders why I don't go all out.

Sonya- your house looks beautiful.

Mindy that shop is so attractive too.  It just begs for you to come inside  !

Outside lights...hmmm ....electric bills...ummmm hmmmm we have one tiny string of lights on our porch...and usually do a very small tree inside...we live off the grid...we have solar &wind power...we turn on the porch ones...if we know someone is going to visit...and since we found out last night that our son & daughter in law probably won't make it for Christmas after all...again for the 4th year...we don't even have a tree yet... There is one neighbor near us who has an incredible outside display...maybe I can get a piccy of that to share...lol...my hubby built them an incredible deck this fall...and the have lit the whole place up they are so happy with it...   No electric bill or blinding lights here
