Gezzzzzzz we are getting blasted again, and there is still so much snow everywhere.
I stocked up on food yesterday, the grocery stores are looking empty, trucks never made
it in to stock up from the last storm. I don't know what they will do when this one hits.
It started snowing about noon and is not suppose to let up until late Saturday.
Looks like I will be indoors for awhile working on some bears  bear_original

That's so much snow!!  I know too much is never good, but I wish my area would get just a little bit.  It's too warm around here and we've only had rain so far..not very Christmasy or Winterish around here  bear_sad

We always joke that snow predictions make people want French Toast..as soon as the news channels predict snow all the bread, milk and eggs are gone from the shelves!  "It's going to snow..let's make french toast..we must get supplies NOW hurry!!!"

Stay warm and safe and keep us posted...

Christmas-Blizzard-2.jpgCan't believe I am getting dumped on with more major snow  up here in Evergreen.       Here is how it looks now with about 8 inches of new snow on top of the 3 feet I already have..      Yes, the store shelves are getting low.   I went this morning to stock up as it looks like this storm will last into Sat. and it was a zoo with everyone having the same idea.   Janet

Oh Tami, Janet and Charlotte: I hope you all stay warm and safe. Amazing, living here in Minnesota where we are so use to all that snow, have nothing but 40 degree weather and rain!!...We Minnesotans love our snow and the poor weather person has to explain why we are having spring weather in the middle of winter.

Stay warm and safe to all who are getting this nasty storm.

You all had better snuggle up in front of the fire  bear_original

Charlotte your post just made me think of something for those with gas generators.  There were terrible storms in the northwest a few weeks ago that knocked out power and way too many people were injured or killed by carbon monoxide poisoning. If you don't have a detector please be sure you know the early symptoms so you can get out to fresh air.

Stay safe all of you.  It looks gorgeous but I don't know how I would cope with it.

Chrissi,
Gas generators & propane heaters certainly can be a problem, when people don't know how & where to use them..and the stories of people bringing their barbeque grills inside to get warm..really make me shudder...
That is why our generator site outside...well away from the house...we run it from 1-3 hours every day, to help the solar/wind power...keep enough of a charge in our battery bank...lol mostly so we can have enough power for using the computer.

I know that you must all hate the snow and I'm sure that when you are in it up to your necks and can't get out to the shops it must be a pain. But I would just lovvvvvveeeeee some here. (You are aloud to shout silly Brit) but it just looks so pretty and romantic. I would give anything to be snowed in for a week or two.All we get here is gray days and rain rain rain.

Chloe,
Actually I understand...we don't mind being snowed in here...
especially when you consider the amount of moisture the snow means to an area that is dry much of the time!!!
Would share the snow with you if I could figure out a way bear_grin

Its not too bad for me cause I don't have to drive in it to go to work. I feel sorry for my husband and everyone that has to deal with it every morning!
And I agree it is very pretty and it helps with water shortage! So I guess I can deal with it!  bear_original

I have to say I'm tickled pink that Colorado's finally getting the snowfall it needs!!!  bear_thumb   I know those that live there won't be too thrilled, but I remember growing up, my auntie and uncle living in Boulder were always snowbound for a solid 8 months.

Stay warm, and don't forget to shift the snow from your house roof if its getting too deep  bear_thumb   Can't wait to see the glorious bears that get made in the meantime  bear_happy

Christmas-Blizzard-2.me2.jpgAs you can see I am still laughing despite getting another three feet over night.  Two of my sons are here plus a nephew visiting so they did some shoveling so we can get out the front door.  They went sking yesterday further up in the mountians and did not get back here untill 3:00 in the morning with horrid tales of hazordous contitions including multiple accidents all along the highway...  No one should have been out and I am glad they are back here safe and sound and keeping me company.  We will not be going anywhere for some time but we are enjoying each other's company. I lost the Internet and don't have phone service so that was unerving last night but it is back now....      HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!!   Janet

Oh Chloe, I know what you mean. We Minnesotans love our snow and well....we have rain. We may get a measly three inches on Sunday. That is nothing to what we are use to having. Poor weather person is about ready to run for his life when announcing "another 40 degree,  bright sunny day ahead"....

oh did it ever snow over night!!! I got up half an hour ago, cause the dogs wanted to go out...and the snow is half way up the storm door & I couldn't get it open more than a couple of inched..hubby is out in the dark trying to break a path now...it's unbelievable!!!!

Update: Hubby says there is at least 3 feet of snow...he made enough of a path that the dogs can get out..

As a native Floridian, it's hard to imagine snow every year.  I've been through many hurricanes, but I experienced my first blizzard last year in NYC.  Although I was just visiting so it wasn't like living there.  Those pictures of the snow look so pretty although I know it causes problems for those that live there.   I hope everyone stays safe.
