I resolve to make no resolutions!!!!!
Hugs &
I agree! I don't make resolutions. But I'll make one for TT - I resolve to adopt more bears.
Paula, sorry to hear about your house.
Heather said: SueAnn, I think you look perfect anyway! HA!
Judi said: Yes, Sue Ann...you DO look perfect!!
I only wish!!!! You nice ladies have made my day, my week, my month, and probably my year with those very nice compliments! Thank you.
Bronwen . . . that's great advice - to put a positive spin on the old diet resolution. I just hope I can muster some kind of motivation that will allow me to do it.
Ahh you girls are good. I never make new years resolutions, because I think unless you REALLY want it - youa re never going to stick with it!! When everyone was getting on the health kick last new years (doesn't seem like a year ago does it?) I kept my mouth shut. I don't like publically failing LOL But a little after the middle of the year I decided it was time for my own weight loss, and I have done really well
I just now have to get game to get a photo up of the "new" me (but I still have a ways to go with my weight loss) .. so perhaps I do have a New Years Reso... to get game enough to pop my photo up..... I know, pretty weird new years reso... but I usually just don't do em!

since 2006 for me kind of kicked me down and kicked the stuffing out of me, I just set a goal of enjoying my corn cob pipe with captian black royal in it. sure its not much of a goal and frankly not a healthy one, but its what I can do right now. maybe in the future I will get cut a break and be able to fight my way up again... if not well it kind of rots, but I still love the lord and trust him... I do have much more than most in the world just considering food, clean water, and shelter. If I could have a wishlist, it would be just American classic dream stuff... having a home instead of a studio, a family, a car, a niche I felt purpose in, that stuff.

Best wishes for a Happy New Year to all.It seems that the New Year coming affects us all in different ways and often brings a sadness to it for some as well as the plans for new goals and achievements for others.Have faith articicle. My thoughts are with you.Personally I seriously need to lose weight.I have some health concerns now due to having had part of my heart radiated along with my tumour a few years back.I never should have let these pounds creep on.Strangely enough though instead of scaring me into action,at this point I'm feeling sorry for myself and eating more junk than ever! I really want to learn how to send in pictures of my bears and create avatars etc. I am truly technologically challenged! So i've lots to get motivated about as you can see!Stay safe everyone wherever you are in the world today! If anyone has any tips on weight loss please send them along in the next few days.If Teddy Talkers can't help me with this then no one can . God Bless! Sincerely Jane
PenPens New Years Resolutions are.........
Eat less - Drink more
Lose weight - Gain bags under my eyes
Stop singing when out in public (i get some real funny looks but always manage to get to the front of queues quicker so maybe it's not such a bad thing after all)
Learn to keep my mouth shut (this will be the hardest of all)
Only wear nice clothes even if i am just lolling around at home - throw out all housecoats/dressing gowns as they are far too tempting to keep on all day long.........lazy lazy lazy
Enjoy myself more
Get the crap off of the top of my curtains more often - disgusting!
Start saving money ha ha ho ho hee hee

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!
I'm with the PenMeister . . . what weight-loss resolution, Sue Ann?
Rejoice in my experienced wickedness . . . you reach a certain age, and all of a sudden everybody starts scrambling to protect your virtue. Puh-leeeeeze!
Embrace bears & other critters as my primary occupation--then get my act together and enter a competition.
Simplify the housework by simplifying the house--to wit, Declutter--to wit, toss out all the stuff my daughters left at home when they moved out--but their books and bears are MINE! Toss the crapola I wouldn't want to use even if I lived long enough, such as the heat-sealer for plastic bags and the food dryer and the ice-cream freezer and the exercise videos and the cake-pans in the shape of Easter Bunnies.
Teach fewer students--except that I'm not giving up any of my beautiful young men, only partly because they shower me with Merlot and Belgian choccies at Christmas . . .
Watch more TV! Figure out how to split the cable into my workroom.
Spend more time in the park with my delightful doggies. Since my precious Lucy is failing, love her to bits while I've still got her, and adopt another when she's gone. I'm a 3-dog person, and I'm proud, so there.
Adopt a rat.
My resolution is to try to be the very best me I possibly can be.
get my own Airbrush and compressor, though the CO2 sounds interesting...
finish setting up mom's new computer... organize her files on the silly thing, started that earlier this evening...
Get some sleep... wait I'm goin to bed now.
I like Daphne's so I will make it mine........ Pray more and whine less. My husband should like that one as well!
Oooh, does it count if your hubby dumps one on you?? I didn't put it up for a resolution, but hubster's decided I've got to exercise more.... ooooh,
Time to stop using my bowflex as a washing line, then
I didn't make any resolutions this year. Every year I know I'll break them. I think for me it is better not to say what I'm going to change or do for the year. That way I don't feel as bad when I fail or mess up. I do plan on taking more time to stop and enjoy my family. Time goes by soooooo fast
I get lost in other things and loose focus of what is going on around me. I hate that!!!!
That's why I thought they made the Bowflex. They made great clothes lines...
Ha...I thought I was the only one who used the bowflex for laundry and the weight bench as a laundry folding table! When I'm not looking, the eliptical rower gets used to hang up and dry my son's hockey gear. Sheeesh! How's a girl gonna get in shape!
My resolution:
Get a real clothes line and folding table.
Vow to do one nice thing per day. (Like a girl scout.)
Answer all the email that is stacked up in my TO DO file.
Organize my office.
Start a vacation savings account.
hugs,
nancy tillberg
 Its nice to know I'm not alone in discovering the secret but capable laundering device that is Bowflex!
Okay, so the first 'exercise' session was getting my equipment dug out....now to get motivated enough to use it
Come on Deb you can do it!
So far I am doing good. I got the new computer set up for mom. I even managed to organize her files and documents into folders. Now anyone can go on there and find whatever it is that we are looking for. I got really fancy. I created folders for BEARS, KITTIES, & DOGS and in each of those folders I created folders with the year i.e. 2002, 2003, 2004... you get the idea. Then under each year a folder is created for each bear. Then all of the files, pictures, docmunets, etc. all go into the same folder for that bear. Then when she asks me or my sister to look something up it will be really easy to find. Now the task will be to make sure that mum follows the new "system."
Since she bought a new computer, I thought that a new mouse and keyboard would be in order. So I bought a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combo at Wally World. We get an extra 10% off one item at Christmas and I got a gift card so I ended up paying about half for it. So I took mum's old keyboard and was able to connect it to my laptop. When I am here at home I can use the ergonomic keyboard and mouse. I have never cared that much for the flat keyboards that come with computers. I hate using them at work, but that is all we have. The only thing that I don't like about the mouse is that it is a 3 button mouse and not a 5 button. I would have had to go to Staples to get that and paid more for it. Oh well you can't have everything.
I have even managed to clean up and re-organize my bedroom. I cleaned up my desk, talk about a federal diaster area! I finally, got all the pieces pulled out of my old tower that I needed. Can't just throw the hard drives in the trash, need to make sure that everything is deleted off of them. I got rid of all the old software that was sitting on the hutch of my desk. Most of it I wasn't using or going to make use of. A couple of weeks ago I cleaned some programs off my computer that I didn't use. Every bit helps.
I just need to get my closet set up. I have a closet organizer that I spied at wally world that I will pick up later this year. Then I will be able to hang all my clothes up and have drawer space for the things that need to be folded. I also need a moment to go through my old clothes and get rid of them.
Ok now I need to get to bed so that I can get up in the morning and make bears. I still have orders to fill. Did I mention that classes start today as well?
Wow, Jared--want to come and live with me???
Good grief! Afterall that, you won't need to exercise
Thanks for the gentle nudge Jare  I'm proud to say, although I didn't make it to my bowflex, I DID do a workout with my balance ball. Sooo, its a start
