I know I've mentioned this before... and if you visited recently... you've seen that nothing new's been done in a long time    Maybe the current discussions will prod me into getting things done.  The reason they have NOT been done yet... is that I volunteer all my time for this... meaning... I don't get paid to do it (and am NOT asking to!)  But sometimes needing to pay bills gets in the way :)

What is the primary purpose of this site?

To educate the general public that yes, adults collect teddy bears and hopefully bring new collectors into the hobby.

How will we spread the word?

The basic way I hope to spread the word about the site... and thus teddy bear collecting... is that I want to create a PDF file that ANYone can download and print out (a  brochure of sorts) with some basic info about teddy bear collecting...   On the back would be a blurb that says "Courtesy of www.TeddyBearCollecting.com and (put your biz name here)"

I personally plan to leave these brochures everywhere I can.  I also have a STACK of teddy bear magazines (duplicates of my collection) and I plan on leaving these magazines around town too.... with a sticker on the cover that says "Free to Take Home!"  courtesty of www.TeddyBearCollecting.com and Teddies by Laura Lynn and my phone number   I'll put a collecting brochure inside the magazine too.

Laura, that is fantastic. I'm totally on board. I think it's a great idea.
I'm going to check out the site now.
