Yes, I was there and I saw it all!
Mindy waiting for, and running back and forth to open the room as the judges came to make their selections. The judging room was FAR.... from the main room. Mindy helping with the set-up of the booths for Teddy Bear and Friends and IDEX.  Mindy speaking with every teddy bear artist at the show. I was dead tired after the first day and Mindy had to get dressed-up and attend/MC the Awards dinner that evening. That's only the first day! It continued like that for the three days. She is amazing and she never loses her poise and charm. I know it sounds like I'm brown-nosing, but I'm so in awe of Mindy! Especially how she keeps her cool  bear_tongue  I would be crazy! bear_wacko

Yes, absolutely!  Mindy has the most mind-blowing energy and ability to get things done efficiently . . . she is awesome!  And I totally admire her capability in deftly handling one of what seems like a most exacting, sometimes thankless, but hopefully fulfilling/rewarding job.  And now her honesty and ethics are called into question??  Baloney!  NOT EVERYONE WHO ENTERS CAN BE CHOSEN, for Pete's sake.  And those who don't get picked need to practice good sportsmanship and not blame a totally innocent person for their not making the cut.  And if you are one of those malcontents who are lurking about reading this, please CHILL OUT.  You will have many more chances to enter competitions.  There are lots of new artists with exciting new work that did make the cut and it's a pleasure to see their creations honored.  Big hugs to you, Mindy . . . I hope they've hired a huge staff to handle just the show "stuff" or we'll never hear/see Mindy again!!!  Great news though as I always thought that it would make sense if TB&F and Doll Reader had their own show.

wow! awesome news! hopefully they can bring some new life back to it and focus on the artists again, the reason Donna Willits started IDEX in the first place- I had some issues with something that happened at last years show bear_sad  I emailed the organisers about it and nobody ever bothered to even reply!
