I am about to burst! I just got off the phone with my niece - they finally got the pathology report for her husband's brain tumour today and were to discuss options with the neurosurgeon. The doctors are stunned as they seem to have been with this case from the beginning - the tumour is a very agressive NON MALIGNANT tumour, not cancerous. That possibility was not even mentioned. The surgeon was 100% certain it was cancerous, even after the surgery, It is still extremely serious because of of it's invasiveness but they are trying to decide how to treat the remaining tumour. MY niece and Rick were told to come back next week, after the neurosurgeon had had a chanace to consult with other colleagues as to what course of treatment to pursue. We really don't know what this means, but it sure sounds better than the last prognosis! Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes because something sure worked!
hugs,
Brenda

Brenda, what excellent news for you and your family! My grandfather, that I mentioned in an earlier post, unknowingly dealt with a non-cancerous brain tumor for much of his adult life, and lived to be almost 90 years old. Miracles do happen, I am so glad one happened for you!
