I have be playing around with crocheting lately. I listed one little bunny on ebay in the bears/artist section. I have a couple more that I plan to list. They are called "amigurumi." And they are animals ai: dogs, bunnies, bears etc. My questions are. Can I continue listing in this category? Or should I have them in another category?
Thank you.  bear_flower

Hi Roxanne

There's always different animals in the Artist Bears section so that's just fine. I see all kinds of animals listed...bunnies, mice, fox, giraffe...etc. So it's for bears...and their friends!
I look forward to seeing your creations on ebay.

Thank you Eliza, but I guess my concern is that is crocheted and sometimes considered a "toy."
Also, they are not made from mohair. Some of my yarns are a mohiar/acrylic/polyester mix tho.
But I guess there are listings for crocheted bears there too  bear_tongue
I just dont want to step on any toes there and to have it listed in the best category for sale.
Thanks again

Hi Roxanne!
I was just thinking about this the other night as I paged through tons and tons of "ooak artist bears" unable to sleep. I think your rabbit and anything else like it should be listed in the category "ooak artist bear" area.  But some of the other things I found then and today shouldn't be...magazines, books, fabrics, jewelry items, accessory items, porcelain knick knacks, manufactured toys and items, oil paintings, drawings, tapestries, items that use to list under primitives or crafts, snow globes and just recently removed heavy farm equipment ( bear_tongue ).   I think way too many sellers take advantage of high traffic areas rather than selling in the correct category....the stretch is too much for the items listed above.  Not everything related to a bear or felting should be in "ooak artist bear"...but your rabbit (IMO) should be.   bear_thumb  bear_flower

Roxanne, my inlaws got back last night and I missed the end of your auction.  Thank you so much for making more of the bunnies, I absolutely fell in love with your recent one, and I was so disappointed to miss the auction---very nearly cried with frustration!---meant to do it the instant I got home and then wound up not going home!  Aurgh!

Am very relieved you will have more bunnies!  Do you have any sneak peeks?

Is it smaller than 6"? Than category #3904 is for you: mini artist bears.

sometimes considered a "toy."

Not any more - not for at least the past 5 years! Thread/crocheted bears have become a fiber art format in thier own right. It's a lot tougher than it looks; I know I cannot crochet tightly enough to make them.

Write me off list if you want to know the url of the very large yahoo list of mini-animal crocheters.
