I'm trying to find a Black Bow Tie for a 12" bear.  I have a lovely top hat but I'm missing the tie!

Help please!

I normally make my own- just taking a strip of fabric the width I need, folding it in half. Then taking another small strip for the middle bit and sewing that around the centre ,pulling it in slightly to make the sides a bit more pronounced. The join of the side pieces is in the middle and this is covered by the centre piece so now joins are visible- hope you understand what I mean

It may be fairly easy to find one in the baby department of stores right now.  Everyone is putting out the fancy Easter outfits.

I find mine in antique and thrift shops. Craft stores sometime have them in with their outfits for dolls and Millie had a great suggestion. I agree with Lynette that it can be rather easy to make your own with a little patience!

Thanks for the suggestions.  I will be out and about today and will check in the baby dept and the thrift shop.

As for making one - this may sound funny - but I don't sew!!!  I mean like clothes and stuff.  I can only sew bears because is just a few stitches and I have never used a sewing machine with any success!!!  I guess you could call me sewing challenged!!!
