Hi. I bid on a mink stole on Friday, paid through paypal immediately and it's Tuesday and I still haven't got a message back and yet I left him two messages bear_angry How long should you give them before you start getting really mad bear_angry or am I just impatient?

Hi Brenda,  this is totally just what I personally do, but I try to give a week before I start getting frustrated.  They could be having computer problems, etc.  I would leave a few more messages over the week before leaving bad feedback or anything like that.  Plus, bad feedback is always a LAST resort for me... like I said, I never know if maybe they hare having troubles or something. try looking at his feedback and see if delays are a trend or if he's got a pretty good feedback score; often you can tell whether or not you should be getting frustrated based on that.

Hope that helps!

He seems to have good feedback and has alot more items on ebay. I would hate to not give him a chance. You guys are the best! bear_wub

there are some sellers on ebay who don't answer emails and don't acknowledge your winning the auction or paying. While this is really annoying, MOST just package and send the item with no emails whatsoever. I really hate dealing with this kind of ebayer, but try to be patient with them. I give them 1 week. If I haven't heard from them by then and my item hasn't arrived, THEN I will get more aggresive in emailing them and asking for a response to acknowledge the sale.

Alot of sellers just do there ebay stuff on certain days or when they have time from work and such . You should give them 10 days and then contact ebay before you leave feedback.

I wouldn't panic yet... Sometimes when you go into your items "I Won" if you right click, sometimes it will have whether or not an item was shipped.... Was it sent priority mail? if yes, I still wouldn't panic yet... If it was parcel post, be prepared to wait... I bought an item from Florida about a week and a half before my vacation to Florida and it took over 2 weeks, TWO WEEKS! to get here (the gal had tracking info on it and it showed that for some reason, the post office sent it out to Denver Colorado!  ).... Anywho, don't panic yet... I would panic if you don't see it by Friday (that is if it was sent Priority Mail)... but dont jump the gun and post negative feedback so quickly - once it is posted, it can't be removed.... I would wait a day or two and if still no sign, contact the seller first ... if no answer, file an unreceived item dispute (but I think you have to do it after so many days have passed but within 45 days)... WHEEW... i said a lot and hope you got something out of my ramblings LOL  bear_wacko

Also, because this seller sells a lot, I wouldnt expect one on one communication like him saying that it was shipped to you (usually the more people sell, the less one on one communication happens)... i know from experience - I use to contact people when things were sent but I sell too much and have too much else on my plate to contact every individual bear_original

All of your replies are good bear_original Ihave to say that when I left him a question about the shipping before the auction was over he was quick to reply. I will wait though ,give him some more time bear_whistle

I had this happen to me, no communication.  But after 2 emails were not answered I sent an email saying if I hadn't heard anything within the next 24 hours I would have to contact e-bay and leave the person negative feedback.  Guess what, heard from them within the 24 hours...

That is "odd" .... I still would go the other routes before you post negative feedback, because you know you will be getting it in return... it is horrible that it is that way, but it is what it is...

Good luck with it all and keep us updated!

YES I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM
I have never had this problem with any bear people, But I bought a book off ebay and paid with no email saying they received payment no email saying thay sent item. the item arrived yesturday. I email them 4 days ago to please leave feedback, no reply no feedback. They just won't get my feedback. This is so frustraing as I always advise via email every step of the process, always thank for fast payment and always advise of when item sent. What is wrong with these people its just common courteous.  bear_angry
