As you all know, I'm doing my first show in May...well, I'm ordering my table covering at the end of this week (crushed velvet). BUT, as this is my first show I really don't know how many metres I should be ordering!
I've got a 6' table and the fabric width is 1.5 metres (or there abouts). How much should I be ordering? I need to take into account that I will have a few boxes under the table covering to display the bears on.

Thanks in advance!

Gemma do you have to cover the front and the two ends of the table as well or just the table top?

Umm, I'm not sure. I'd probably prefer to cover the ends and the front too.

Gemma I would say you would need 7 metres in total.  It will take roughly 4 meters to cover the two sides and the front and 3 metres to cover the top of the table.  The 3 metres would give you lots of fabric on top as you will have the boxes to take into consideration as well.  Hope this helps.

Thank you so much Shane!

It's a good job I asked - I was only going to order 4 metres!!

Well I know we have struggled with that before as well.  You may have a little left over from doing the the front and side but it's better than being short  bear_grin .  I had to ask Steve how much we use , he's the one who does all the mathematics in our house .  That amount should give you sufficient to do your table, you may have excess but that's ok.

Glad we could help

Thank you so much Shane and Ellen for your wonderful advice!

I am sure you will have a great show, your work is wonderful and I am deeply impressed by how good you are at bear making after just over a year! I am sure the collectors will think the same. Good luck on the show!

Ellen, what a really lovely thing for you to say. Thank you so much - it really means alot to me!
