Man, I was soooo frightened! We just got the most horrifying storm we have ever had in a while. golf ball to Baseball size hail, wind gusts over 60 mph, some streets with water flooded to the middle of a car window, down power lines. It's crazy. They say it is to continue throughout the day.
I took a couple pics of my poor shop out in the back yard. James built it so it was 4 inches above ground, but it did not take but a few minutes for it to reach the floor level.
Holy cow, Roxanne! Does that mean your shop and it's content are going to be a total loss?
Please stay warm & dry! Keep us updated!
oooh - that is SO scarey - we had a similar storm here in early summer last year - rain like you've never seen (well - you have!) and huge hailstones . One of our cats got caught out in it and was missing for hours - since then she has been terrified of any loud noises, and has become our "storm early warning system" - if she disappears, GROWLING, under the table - we know bad weather is coming soon!
As Shelli said - stay warm and dry...and I hope there isn't too much damage!

The water has receded in my back yard, but they say there are many streets closed around town. They have the High Schools on lunch lock-down because of the flooding. See, here in Odessa, there is no street drainage. As a rule, it is very dry here. So when it rains it gathers very quickly. So all the water runs down to lower level streets. It eventulally flows to a pond which we call the "Buffalo Wallo." I imagine it is flooding over now.
I took a picture of my shop to show where the water topped at. Things look good inside. Thank goodness!
Omg Roxanne, that is terrifying. Glad to hear things seem to be okay.
Hugs!
