Went to the Calgary doll show today and met Heather and Veronica there - how nice to meet a couple of TT'ers in person! Veronica saw me walk by her table and recognized me from my photo under my avatar - how amazing is that!!! (See - everyone should have photos under their avatars! I actually said to my husband at breakfast that I should have worn my TT sweatshirt but I was all dressed so didn't bother to go change!) Then Heather showed up a bit later and Veronica introduced me to her! Heather is putting on the bear show in Calgary in August so it was nice to meet her ahead of the show. Veronica makes the most incredible soft sculpture dolls and darling miniature teddy bears - regular and needlefelted. I just had to bring one of the wee needlefelted ones home- in fact I think it was her smallest. She wasn't selling her dolls or I sure would have been tempted to get one of them as well! I can't wait for the Calgary bear show - I sure have missed the personal contact with other artists that you get at the shows!
Awesome Edie! Gosh I would have loved to have been there! Way to go guys!
Hugs Louise
I had dinner with Heather and Julie (Bears Strike A Paw) last Wed. I've met Heather a number of times but it was the first time I met Julie.
I can't wait for the show either. It's going to be nice to meet everyone.

I've only met one TT and it is so fun to meet people in the flesh. Sounds like a great time !!
Thanks Edie,
It was super cool to meet you guys. I love TT. It's fun to have a network of friends at these types of shows. I also brought home one of veronica's bears. they are cute, I'm trying to convince her to get a table at the Calgary Bear show.
Us TT'ers are going to have to do dinner before the Calgary Show. What fun that will be!!!
I love meeting TTer's and other bear makers in the flesh. It's so nice to have something in common right away.
Can't wait to see you all in Aug!
Hi guys!! I was at the monthly doll meeting this morning so just got home. That was fun to see the real people behind the avatars! lol
Edie wandered past our table and I was sort of looking at her from the back and side...thinking... hmmm... that sort of looks like Edie...... I figured if I yelled "Hey Edie" and it wasn't her... well, the woman would just keep on walking, but if it was her...then, I would have missed an opportuinity to say "hi" and meet a fellow TT'er. It is a strange feeling actually seeing somebody you only know from postings on here....
Then, I was looking at, or doing something else for a bit and turned around and there was another woman who looked familiar.... Heather! Too funny! Two in the same day....so we got talking and then Edie wandered by again so all 3 of us yakked for a bit. It is kind of like finding family members that you didn't know were visiting in the same area.
For sure if I can't manage a table of my own at the show this year I will try to be there just to meet more TT'ers and support the first bear show here in a long time...
