My MOTHER (not my father who just had surgery for an aneurysm 2 weeks ago or my grandmother who recently had congestive heart failure) my MOTHER was taken to the hospital tonight and, as I type this, is having surgery to take her appendix out!

When on earth does this ever stop????    

They live 2 1/2 hours from me. Dad assures me he's OK alone until I get there tomorrow morning. It's 11pm right now and morning can't come fast enough for me! I guess I should get some sleep.

Poor Mom... not the way to spend mother's day! 10 years ago on Mother's Day she had a heart attack! What is is with my family!?!?

The surgeon sounded confident about the surgery. I asked dad to be sure they stay on top of her diabetes and her heart function. What else can I do but pray and grow a few more gray hairs!?

So sorry, Daphne. So much to deal with having the whole family having medical problems at the same time. I'm sure you're worried to death about all of them. Take care of yourself as this much stress could cause you to get sick, too.
