I am thinking of taking the plunge and purchasing a light tent.  If you have bought one you like, can you tell me the brand and type?  Thank you!   bear_original

Ellen, I don't know what brand I have, but my first one was quiet big, and as the majority of my work is around 4" I ended up getting a smaller size about 40cm or 16". That was the smallest I could see on Ebay when I purchased it.  So, please don't make the mistake I did by buying a large one when you work small.
I am just learning by trial and error so someone else might give you more experienced advice.  I know there are some fab photographers out there  bear_original

Thank you Christine bear_original   Are you happy with the way yours works?  I heard that some are hard to fold down for storing.  So far my critters tend to be mostly 6" - 12".  I was thinking of getting a 24" or 28" light tent.  do you think that is too big?

anthonylightentsample.jpglighttent.jpgHi Ellen,

Here is a pic of a light tent I bought about a month ago.  I have no idea what brand it is, it was just a cheap one i got off Ebay and it works well!  That's a little 2.5 inch bear in there - and as you can see lots of room to fit bigger bears.  I think the dimensions are 40cm x 40cm x 40cm.  I've attached a sample photo I have taken.  Still working on what the best settings are for the camera etc....

Hi Ellen
I bought the EZ Cube light tent and have been very happy with it. I purchased two photographers light stands and I use a 500 watt ( I think ) photo flood light bulb in each. This gives me a lot of light and no shadows for indoor shooting. I bought the 30 inch size Hope this helps
Hugs

Hi again Ellen, the EZ lightbox sounds familiar, funny you ask about folding them up  bear_grin
I never did get the hang of it, my spare one is not folded up because I gave up  bear_grin
I use 3 lights,  one each side one on top. But lots do it diferent, I am still playing around really.

Hi Ellen,

My hubby bought me this one for Christmas. It comes with the two lights and folds down flat and the lights store inside of it. It also has a gray and a blue backdrop which comes off so you could use another color.

I wish I had bought the one with the lights. I only paid about 20$ for mine but then Had to purchase lights. My husband bought me the new lights for Christmas.
Mine is about 24x24 Inches, I could really use a smaller one since I only make smaller bears.
