Okay, so you thought I was a bit scarce before with Winnie having her babies???? Well, the stork has arrived once again!! I got a call yesterday from somebody who knew that we just had a litter of kittens born.....their neighbors dog was out in their yard checking out somehting rather intently, when they went to see.....they found kittens!!! There were five in total, but only 2 were still alive and were only about a week old.....They brought them over to my house, and with a little persistance and perseverance Winnie has accepted the two new little ones as her own....they are a bit bigger, but seem to be fairly close to the others development wise so not much older I don't think...the animal kingdom never ceases to amaze me....We put the kittens in with Winnie, and rubbed her babies all over them to get the smell of them on the new babes, within seconds the little tortie was nursing, but the orange guy couldn't latch on.....long story short, I spent the night in the room with them waking every couple of hours making sure all was well and finally got the orange guy to eat along with my help, and this morning I woke to a babies cry and it was the orange baby nursing on his own and being cleaned by Winnie!!! My sleepless nights are over, however I was prepared to bottle feed these wee ones if Winnie didn't accept them, but she has claimed them as her babies and they will never know any different. My house has turned into a nursery, I am barely getting any work done, have kittens on the brain!!! So now we have Winnie (Mom) Hemi, Pan, Hermione, Wallace (original crew) Willow (new tortie) and William (orange).

Oh, so cute, Krista! You're lucky. I'd love to have little kittens around for a while. Sounds like Winnie is a really great mom!
Krista,
I don't know how you do it but THANK you for being who you are!! I SO want the Orange guy. I had an orange cat for 17 years and he was the love of my life. Why do you have to be so far away!!

Here you go Karen, I did a close up for you

Wowee, Krista . . . that's wonderful and amazing! You are an angel and so is Winnie! Hugs for all of you!
Krista, you are amazing with your very generous heart. Strange how those two little orphans found their way to your door where you were already fostering Winnie and her brood. The kittens are cute as they can be and Winnie is a wonderful mother.
Oh...how wonderful!!!
I have said it before but I will say it again.....YOU KRISTA ARE ONE OF THE WORLDS MOST SPECIAL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, I already replaied to your email, but I didn't get to see that last pic in the original post. Ohmigoodness ohmigoodness, I am SO in love with that one! Why oh why do you have to live so far away!!!!!

Krista you are such a good person to firstly adopt darling Winnie knowing that she would soon have babies and then to take on two more kittens...
Winnie also needs a round of applause, what a fantastic mother cat she is to except the two kittens as her own. thanks for sharing this wonderful, happy storey, it's just sad that the other kittens were not found in time.
Hugs Jane.

Your story has brought tears to my eyes!!! What beautiful kittens, and what a wonderful person you are. If there were more people in the world like you, it sure would be a nicer place!!!
That is a lovely post. Those kittens were soooooo lucky. I want the orange dude too! I had two ginger cats, one called Jasper (carrot) he used to leap into my arms, such a cuddier. and another called Cornflake (the cerial killer)
Hi Krista
I've said it before, but I can't repeat it often enough - you are such a wonderful person - it's almost as if distressed animals KNOW to come to you...
Winnie looks such a sweetie, and is obviously a wonderful mum - and the kittens??? Just as well we don't live near you - things are in a state of upheaval here, and adopting new kitties will just have to wait a while....
big huggies

Krista that is a such a touching story, made me all teary. You really are such an angel to help out animals in need. And Winnie is a angel in the fur to accept those kitties. I want them all
How adorable!!!
I do have to say, Keep your eye on things, They look a little bigger and older maybe? If they are be carfull as they will get a little more rough then the others and may stop them from drinking. Just keep an eye on things and gentley feel that everyones tummy is round and full :)
Richy~
Oooooh so adorable, they are so lucky to have you to care for them Krista. I so need that ginger one.
Warm wishes
Pauline
Thanks everyone, Yes Winnie is the true angel in this all!!! Without her acceptance I would be one tired momma cat wanna be by now!!....no worries Richy...I am almost as protective as momma, the last litter we had their were 6 babies and only 5 milk producers so we are pros at making sure everyone is eating and gets enough...not to mention I have my scale up and weigh them all daily to ensure all are gaining weight.
They aren't much older, maybe a couple of days, they are at the same stage of develpment as the others, their mom was probably older and bigger than poor little baby herself Winnie.
Hugs,
Krista
Krista, people like you are hard to find!! You are simply amazing! I feel honored to know you.
Big Hug,
Julie
