Congratulations Maria!!
I too have a TITA nominee, the N.O.S.T.© bear (Also nominated in the URSA challenge) is traveling to Japan for display and final voting.
Hurray!!
And oh.. I almost forgot  (not realy..) I was #1 in the Swiss Teddy Award last weekend. There was only one catagory, bears had to be between 25 and 35 cm, undressed with 1 or 2 accessoires. I hope to post picture soon. My computer crashed and I only can go online to read mail on another computer.
Look forward to hear who all is nominated !!
Berta
Hi Berta
and multiple congratulations to you! Isn't it exciting   ???? First time I've entered a mini, and he got the TBS nomination too...
We've been having computer troubles too - thanks to the total ineptitude of the Deutsch Telecom...at least we have the computer working again, but still no phone...AAARRRGGGHHHHH - dealing with them really is like banging your head against a brick wall

Maria
Polar Bear, Stargazer, also a URSA nominee like your wonderful N.O.S.T. bear, Berta, is also a 2008 TITA nominee. Gosh. I hope we're not in the same category!!!
They will be off to Japan for a long visit - on display until Spring 2008 - which is why this one international contest is dated so differently from the others.
I love your 'Bluebottle the bar fly" !!! What's a TITA?
Wendy
Hey guys! Congrats!
I just heard that my three entries all got nominated!

Happy
Little Red Riding Hood and her Woodland Friends.

Thanks, Wendy - glad you like him! I just had to pass on the news to the very nice customer who reserved Bluebottle - she's got a LONG wait ahead!
I believe the TITA is something like Tokyo International Teddy Award - I could be, and probably am, WRONG...anyway it is a Japanese teddy comp...all very exciting!

A HUGE bear huggie to you Maria!!! That's fab!!
Congratulations ladies!!! Well deserved nominations for all of you!
Berta..... how are those flowers done? I sense I am looking at some kind of needlework that I am not entirely familiar with. Beautiful!
Kim Basta
Ho ho - you've asked a deep question Kim!
This lace technique is called Oya. There is precious little written about it. I seem to remember that it comes out of the Baltic/Turkish/etc areas of Europe/Asia (I've forgotten its exact origins.).
After Berta discovered it, she sought out a teacher and traveled a number of times to Amsterdam to learn it. I've got a 2 samples of it here and cannot figure them out - it's driving me nutzzzz.
I'm pestering Berta constantly to teach me (I've got First Dibs!!) and to publish about it. As usual, there so little time & so much to do...
Congratulations everyone on your nominations- eeeek so long to wait for the results! The suspense!
Congratulations to all the nominees - great work and well deserved for all of you!
Congratulations everyone!!!!!
