HELP!!!
While trying to find a replacement for a maternity leave position at work, 3 other girls have all decided to 'head for the hills' and leave over the next 2 weeks (was it something I said????)
All are leaving for different reasons - our receptionist is off to India on a volunteer work program, and the other 2 are heading off to try new ventures altogether (guess the fast-paced office life just wasn't for them)
Although I wish them all the best of wishes, timing couldn't be worse, and I am also feeling very sorry for myself at the moment. as I now have to find replacements & teach them all at once (talk about musical chairs!!) I am a little nervous about this because I have booked a holiday to Thailand in 8 weeks time and the new people need to know their jobs before then!
Wish me luck! (Hopefully I won't miss out on too much TT - I'll need to log in every day just to keep grounded and lose myself in the world of bears!)
Marg
Oh my !! Good luck dear heart ! Well better yet....May GOD step in and help you complete the job you need to tackle !!! Hang in there !!
Marg, good luck with that, poor thing, hopefully you find some quick learning replacements in time to enjoy your holidays.
Wishing you luck in finding replacement staff so that you will be able to go and enjoy your holiday.
Hugs
Carolyn
good luck in finding new staff! and hope you enjoy your trip to Thailand. I went last Spring and absolutely loved it! Those beaches are beautiful and the shopping even more fun.

Marg: my goodness what a nightmare. I suggest you teach them the absolute essentials and make sure they practice the skill well before you leave on vacation. Your supervisor should be able to handle everything while your gone....right?
Thanks ladies for your support and thoughts - you are all very sweet.
I am so glad I joined TT - I am finding all of you pretty amazing and supportive - it's a great forum to offload some of your troubles and find there are others out there thinking of you.
Michelle - if only I was so lucky - I am the office manager! (My boss is the managing director! I would love for him to 'handle everything' while I am gone, but that's not very likely!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!) So there is no-one else!!! Bugger!!!
HOwever - an update today (Tuesday) ... after interviewing last week, yesterday and today (I am soooooo over it!) I have found 3 gorgeous ladies, one of whom started this week and the other 2 who will start over the next week or so. All is not lost after all!!!!
Yippee! There is a light at the end of the tunnel! And even better news - my young receptionist who is off to India may only be away for 6 weeks, and then return to us! Hooray!!!!

Marg, hello and welcome!
Now, your situation sounds hopeless, but not serious :)
With the new staff you might be able to get much further, if you can motivate them to do what you want, there´s always a chance somewhere and every sad side has it´s positive one, too!

Oh my gosh Marg, good luck ! Glad to hear that things just may work out fine after all too :)
