I have an etiquette question. I have submitted a bear for the lemonade auction. I would like to bid on other lemonade bears.. my bid4bears id gives me away ..Would anyone be offended?
And please check out my little duo if you have a chance .. I am really happy to be part of such a wonderful cause!

Firstly your little bears on B4Bs are sooooooooooooooo cute!!!
I don't think anyone minds artists bidding on artist bears some artists are collectors as well!! I bid on a bear during the Lemonade Benefit and won a wonderful piece!
Posts: 1,836I don't think there's any possible way that you could offend by bidding for such a fantastic cause. 
Even outside of this particular event, bidding on a fellow artists bear is perfectly fine & sometimes the only way you're able to purchase. Good Luck with your bids!!

Bid away...noone is going to be offended in anyway. It only shows that you admire that particular persons work or that particular bear and it's a wonderful compliment. We all support each other and often bid or buy each others works.

Many of us not only make bears, but collect when we can too.

Gosh, what a funny question, at least from where I sit. I'm especially flattered when another bear artist wants one of my bears. And for a wonderful cause like Lemonade Bears, it's all that much more a positive thing. I'd say go for it, without reservation!

Back Road BearsI think I understand what Anna might be asking... not so much will the artist who made the bear she bids on mind but will all the other artists with bears listed be offended because she didn't bid on THEIR bears too!
I used to hesitate to bid for this very reason. I also hesitated to buy bears at the shows I promote for similar reasons. I KNOW we can't all like everyone else's style but we also don't want to appear to be playing favorites or disappoint anyone because we didn't buy a bear from them also.
HOWEVER..... we are all adults here..... most of us aren't the viciously jealous types... and as artists we all understand the concept of collecting: some folks like my style, others don't..... they might buy mine... they might buy someone else's.... as long as they are happy with their new bear that's all that matters as that's the whole point in collecting teddy bears!
So, yes, the answer is still the same as everyone else's..... go for it! But you are very kind to be concerned about offending anyone!
