I found this newspaper clipping from many years ago (probably about 20) and thought I would share it with you all.
Little Stuffed Dog
Written by Sonia L. Fries
Who knows, sometime in the future
Someone will find you and say,
"There's an old ragged, worn-out, stuffed
dog in this box;
now why didn't she throw that away?"
I know that you're faded and lumpy,
Too stained and too worn-out to keep.
He's long since outgrown you and put you
aside;
Doesn't need you to cuddle to sleep,
But I can remember, not too long ago,
When two little arms help you tight;
When you were a friend, a comfort,
A shield for the dark lonely night.
You shared every small disappointment,
Absorbed so much laughter and tears,
No wonder you're tattered and lumpy,
How busy you were those few years!
So, little stuffed dog, I must keep you,
Someone will discard you one day;
But you've been blessed with the love of a
sweet little boy.
And I never could throw you away.
awww that was lovely thank you Ellen

I have a blue rabbit like that.
That brought a tear to my eye.
Lovely little poem - I will keep that.
