I am so very sad about this. Andy, my original design Moon Bear left home in March 2006 for a journey to spread the word about Moon Bears and raise awarness about them. Many of you responded and Andy had wonderful visits in Vermont, New hampshire, Florida, Texas, California (2 stops) Oregon, then with my daughter in Washington (state) From Washington, I guess I made some bad decisions. One TT asked if her son could host him, he lived in Idaho, and I said yes. Andy had a great time there.....then I was asked if he could visit some other people, and I said yes, thought the more the merrier!

I have not heard about Andy since April 2007. emails and snail-mail-letters have not gotten me any response. I don't know what to do. There are address labels in the box with Andy, so I thought that someone, not knowing what else to do, would put on a label and mail him on to someone else.

Anyone have any idea of how I can find Andy? Has anyone seen or heard from him? My other Moon Bear has made successful trips to Australia, New Zealand, England, and last I knew, she is now in China with Jill, the CEO and founder of Animals Asia. (I haven't heard from her in a while either and need to make some contact there to see when Franzi is coming home for eBay Auction)

so sory Ellen that you have lost him,  maybe he was distracted by one of those holiday romances? maybe hes working harder fo rthe moon bears than we know! and there will be lots of little ones soon! :crackup: really hope he writes home soon! deb

Oh, I'm so sorry. The TTer whose son hosted him...can you trace him from there? Is that where you're not getting any response.

Let's hope that he's just having such a good time he's forgotten to write home. I really hope you her from him. Let us know what happens.

Poor Andy!   bear_cry   That's so sad.  We really loved having Andy stay with us - we took him to the Disney Teddy Bear Convention and to an air and sea show.   

Andy got a pin from Disneyworld that we put on the other side of his vest when he was here so wondering if that pic was in Washington (which I think was after Florida) or if someone took off that pin?

Are you not getting any response from the TTer whose son had him?

Yep - I ditto Chrissie . . . I put a "Texas" pin on Andy's vest, and I think I got him after Chrissie.  There was sooooooo much info with him and all those CDs, daily journals, and stuff to auction - gosh, it's going to be a shame if all that is lost . . . not to mention Andy!

Lets hope with the public call for his where abouts will bring him forth!!!
It is such a shame to have lost all contact within. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is only temporary.
