I got a new printer...all I need now is an 'ology' on how to use it.
It can print, scan, photocopy, read photo cards and send faxes. Yippee, I said, but so far the mass of buttons and the mound of paperwork is getting me in a right muddle. I'll get there I suppose...anyone else feel a littele dumb in these situations?
Hugs Jane.
You're talking to the kind of girl who goes into the mobile phone shop to ask for a phone that just makes calls and receives them ...
Good luck Jane!
Hey Paula and Ellen you've both made me feel great. I CAN understand my moble phone I do have a blue tooth headset and I take photos with the phone to, I text and even send photo messages...YAY there's hope for me yet...now back to the printer...I still don't get it.
Hugs Jane.
Blue tooth headset Jane????? Isn't that something a dentist could help you with ???!!!!!

 Boy, I don't even own a cell phone, I live in the fast lane without it.
I do have a copier, scanner, but only use the copy part and print pictures from my card from my camera. Now if I can only get those pictures on line.
You guys are funny! I can't figure out the digital camera half the time but figure if I can find the power button and the one to snap the photo then I can edit it all on the computer. And my cell phone..... way too many functions.... it's mind boggling and I don't even have a blue tooth!
Congrats on getting a new printer, Jane . . . you will figure it out, I'm sure. Well, I had to ask what a Bluetooth was recently - but I have an excuse in that I'm techno-challenged. I've never sent a text message and don't own an ipod. Am I hopelessly out of the loop?
Hi Jane, what fun! LOL
My husband bought me one of those last year with all the buttons, took me forever to learn to print, send fax, scan.
I still have to dig out the directions or quick step sheet. LOL
Well girls, I am the same as you with a distinct lack of knowledge on how to use technology. But I am lucky, I have a live in instruction book. All I need to do is ask my 11 year old, and she sorts out all my problems. That's why you have kids in this modern age - to help you use all the gizmo's!!!!!! She is available to hire out Jane!!!!!!
this thread made me laugh! my 64 year old geeky husband ( no he wasnt always that way) is always upgrading our stuff just about the time i learn to use it! so i have MY side of the office and he has his,,and if he gets something new and cool that WORKS..then i get one! i never did figure out my epson printer..HATED the thing and i replaced it! love my new tinycamers abuti dont understand half of the buttons! and if ANY of our phones beep whilst im online..i cnat answer the second call..i dont know how! text what? that just seems silly to me! i got a new mp4 for Christmas..i can turn it on! and download..but playing what i want after...still working on that//i just listen to whatever comes on fo rthe moment!  deb

Ooooohhh technology - how wonderful! I just love 'gismo's' but am a novice when it comes to using them (my camera is a perfect example - too many settings for my simple mind!) My 19 year old taught me how to download songs from the net & put them on the iPod last night (how much fun is that!!!), and my 39 year old brother showed me how to transfer photos to it on his last visit. I am suddenly feeling old at 49! Think I'll stick to making bears!
