We recently discovered a dog park not too far from where we live, so took our pups for a "walk in the park" this morning. Now I will bore you with photos of the "kids" at play. Paul and I enjoyed it, too, as it was a perfect day - overcast but very pleasant. The Lhasa is Toby and the terrier is Bailey.
Wish there were cat parks . . . our four would enjoy a play day. Thanks for indulging the proud mom.
What a pretty dog park with all those trees and grass. Looks like the pup wore themselves out and looks like you had the part all to yourselves. And there can never be too many pictures for me.
Oh, what fun! They must have had a wonderful time!
Wish we had a dog park around here. Though one of my boys wouldn't know what to do with all the other dogs around him and the other would be kicked out for being too rowdy! So we stick to the treadmill for exercise - LOL!
Thanks for sharing your outing with us, Sue Ann!
I love kiddie pictures, having to take many of mine each week doing their daily "stuff" just coz they are so cute hehe, gorgeous pups you have Sue Ann
Not to play favourites, but I love Bailey
You have four cats too!
Daphne, a treadmill? Like Astro from The Jetsons? haha I can't imagine keeping mine on one of those!
Sarah - Yes! OMG... I forgot about Astro! The idea actually came from Cesar Millan "The Dog Whisperer" on TV. Took a few times but they stay on for 30-45 minutes now, supervised of course. Works like a charm to burn some of that energy out of 'em.
Sorry, Sue Ann.... getting way OT here!
Gorgeous pics and very cute dogs! It's so nice to see them having fun running around isn't it? We have a reserve literally just outside the back gate of our place so my dog Woodley has a run nearly every day over there and he runs himself ragged and comes home very happy
What cuties, looks like they had loads of fun!!!
hehe, good old astro lol, now if we could only get ours to talk like he did hehe. I would love to see a photo of Tucker or Riley on it hehe, I still can't imagine a dog staying on a treadmill! On another thread of course....Sorry Sue Ann!!
Sue Ann you go ahead and post as many pictures as you wish showing Toby and Bailey, they look really cute. Just across the road from my house there is a park where we can take our dogs , it takes all of one minute from shutting the front door to being in the park, isn't that great. Chunky and Lucy love to go to the park as often as they can.
Hugs, Jane.
Awwwwwwhhh of course we love to see you're kiddies playing in the park
...edited repetitively because I cannot eat breakfast and type one handed without beaucoup typos!
Sue Ann - I love your dogs!! They are so cute!! I wish I could find a good place to walk my baby. I posted my new baby for all to see as well. His name is Jacques.
Bear Hugs,
Melissa Z
oh my gosh, Melissa, he is so precious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must want to stare at his cuteness all day long hehe
Sue Ann,
I've just moved to Seattle and we have an amazing Dog Park/Magnusen Park. It's acres and acres, fenced with various entrance gates. THey have an agility course, trees, hills and it all leads down to a dog beach. All safe and fenced. I don't have a dog at the moment but I love to watch the dogs, there. There's usually at least 50 and as much as 100 on weekends. It's amazing to see about 20 dogs at once swimming out to fetch sticks and balls in the water, all SMIling broadly Seattle has many great dog parks. Maybe this is a sign of things to come for other towns?
Karen
Awwwwe, thanks for sharing! Your poochies are soo cute! Nice to see green grass and leaves too! We just got another big dump of snow.. lol.
Hugs!
Melanie
Thanks, everyone, for looking at my boys' play day and taking time to respond. Melissa, is Jacques a Lhasa? He's gorgeous! He also makes me realize how overdue mine are for a grooming.
Seeing Riley and Tucker on the treadmill would be awesome . . . what a great way to exercise them!
The park is divided into sections - one for large dogs, one for small and shy dogs. We did have the small dog part to ourselves, but there were lots of occupants in the large section. This one wanted to get acquainted.
Karen, your park sounds wonderful! There were also many paths at this one where you could walk your dog(s), but we do that at home. I was pleased that ours could go anywhere without a leash. We may go again on Friday as the boys really did enjoy themselves. Thank you again for looking.
Sue Ann,
Your Dogs are wonderful....Really love them ,especially the Terrier's expression and coat.
We live in the country...no dog parks. Lucy and I go for "Wild Walks" through the woods everymorning. ..if I can survive
her "walks"............. the rest of the day is easy. Mikki
What great pics SueAnn looks as though you all had a fun time.
Awww bless them, they look like they are having such a good time. They are cute. Could do with more parks like that.
Pauline
Awwhhh, there's so many beautiful dogs on this thread
And what a smart idea to divide the small dogs from the larger ones. Sometimes the bigger pups can't recognize the smaller breeds even are dogs. Its always interesting to watch them interacting with different dogs. Neat to see the pack dynamics in action.
Here's Tucker & Riley on the treadmill.
Unlike Tuck who is clearly happy, Riley keeps his head down and is rather serious and focused when on the treadmill.
       Wonderful!!
What cute pictures of your doggies!! We have a dog park near us and love it, Of course there is a Tim Hortons right next door so I love going in the morning, picking up a coffee and taking the dog for a nice romp with his fuury friends, we both enjoy it!
Kathleen
Thank you for sharing your very cute doggy pictures - they are all so lovely.
That looks like a lovely park where you take your dogs SueAnn and they must be very happy
to get out in the fresh air and go there.
Daphne that is so funny to see Tucker and Riley on the treadmill - must be good on those raining and cold days.
Hugs
Carolyn
Now that's a brilliant idea Daphne!!!
