Reminds me when Joseph was in 5th grade and their class went on a field trip to the San Juan Capistrano mission, maybe two and a half or three hours away...maybe longer in a big school bus. The kids were able to shop and he brought me a little fridge magnet and a box of fresh from the ground strawberries from there. But, you know, it was a long trip, and by the time he got home, his little basket had only a few strawberry leaves. Such memories are so very sweet.
